Best store bought or online bought wax

I wanna wax my baby and have the meguiars Nxt tech wax or whatever it's called and I'm not impressed. So I've been using that Lucas spray wax (Awesome stuff) but I'm ready to use a good old fashioned buffer. So any suggestions? Oh and no opticoat suggestions I can't afford that sh** lol

I've tried tons over the years and my hands down favorite is Menzerna Power Lock Polymer Sealant.

Which wax?

Carnauba or Synthetic?

Cjm005 02-28-2013 11:41 PM

Adams Americana paste wax. Best shine and easy to apply! Adams is the bomb!

Easiest is optimum spray wax or opti seal, which is a wipe on and walk away product.

Ultima Paint Guard Plus. Wipe on and walk away.

sealant: blackfire wet diamond

wax: collinite 845

paste wax: BF midnight sun or p21s or Wolfgang Fuzion or...

'all in one' cleaner wax: Poorboys Polish with Sealant

spray wax: meguiars ultimate quik wax or optimum 'car wax'

If only choosing 1 wax to try out - get collinite 845. replace the big wide mouth cap with a flip top and you wont buy another bottle for a couple years.

What makes you not impressed by the meguiars? Are u looking for stuff that lasts longer, goes on easier, looks slicker?

I agree with this, 845 is the best!

Oh boy...another "best wax" thread........

Honestly, the best thing you can do to make your car look its best is to properly polish your paint before applying any protectant. You can't be putting wax/sealants/coatings over swirls! After that, you could put the cheapest, crapiest product on and it will still look 10X better than your paint without polishing using the "best wax".
