ripping off door panels void warranty?

so i got the apr side mirrors yesterday. yes i know alot of people hate the look of them but i love it :) :iono: anyways i was ripping off the door panel and i realized that i had to get through another panel before i could get to the door and remove the stock side mirrors. but the second panel was covered by plastic and had tacky putty tape thing wrapped all around the sides. if i were to rip that off would that void warranty somehow? just wondering what im getting into.

ps: first time ripping off a door on a car so i didnt know what i was getting into :P

No, but put it back on. It helps seal the door from moisture and helps create a "closed" box for the speaker. it serves multiple purposes.

ya you dont want to "rip that off" It is the dust sheild for the cabin, peel it slowly and carefully. Then when you reattach it you may want to slightly warm it up with a hair dryer to promote good adhesion.

will the tape come off easily and be capable of putting back on easily?
nvm question got answered by @norsamerican

if its like most cars the plastic is held on the door by multiple push clips, and silicon putty.

God these days. Farting in your car could potentially void your warranty.

It will only void your warranty if you screw something up in the door while you're working in there, and something fails later on, they may void your warranty for something in that specific area. Just take your time and put things back exactly as they were and you should be fine.
