Question on 2 door seats

Hi everyone,

I am an anal person when it comes to seating positions...for me it has to be PERFECT and anytime anyone adjusts it (i.e. dealership personnel, friends, etc) I get annoyed.

So my question is: for the driver seat, if you left the handle and the seat folds forward for passenger in/out, does the seat return to the original position that you had it? or does it stop at the first notch and stays vertical?

The Genesis Coupe I've driven does not go back to original position but the Elantra coupe does. Thanks

I think the seat does but not the back. I haven't had anyone enter from the drivers side yet, so it hasn't annoyed me yet.

This isn't really a luxury car we are talking about here.

You could install another seat that would remember your settings.

Stops at the first notch. No matter. The rear seats are unusable.

thats not true.. the rear seats are fine for smaller girls.

my girl crosses her legs when she is in the back.

edit: she is 23 yo!

no memory seating? even the 1st generation scion tc had that. im kinda disappointed now.

If this annoys you, just wait till you hear the chirping. The seat can only be adjusted so many ways. It isn't anything to complain about.

There isn't enough rear legroom!
It's a 2 door sports car.

The seats don't have a memory feature!
It's a sub-$25,000 sports car.

Understood that this is a sub 25k sports car. But I'm surprised the elantra coupe has this

The elantra coupe wasnt designed to be a sports car. Costs were marginalized, parts bins were raided.

Test it out and if you dont like it dont buy why bother getting. Stop asking stupid questions.

Wtf dont be like this. Not everyone has swag like you.
@OP, the seats doesnt have the memory option, so if passengers go out from the driver side, you have to re-adjust your seats.

Shit, my 91 Prelude had this. Granted it was an option just for the driver seat, and didn't come standard. Still...I do wish this car had it. I find myself putting stuff everywhere except behind the drivers seat just so I don't have to re-adjust anything. I will say it is easier to get back to the position you like in this car compared to others I have driven. Probably because the seating position is just better to start with. The toughest part is getting comfortable with the headrests, IMO.
