frs shipping info from dealer GTA

I'm extremely excited to get my frs and just wanted to know if the dealer updated the location of the car to you? So far what I've found is that they tell you when the car is at the port. Anywhere else?

all scion cars from port will then get sent over to compound. Then the car will get sent to the dealer by transport and get PDI'ed by your dealers techs, once that happens they will call you to arrange delivery a RO (work-order) made the car get filled up and detailed and handed off to the sales staff. Then you get your car.

*congrats!!! Mine at already at the dealer but my insurance will not clear till April 1st :(

Make sure you record the KM should be about 12-15KM if they came straight from transport or else dealership will let others test drive it.

^allow for a little bit more they still have to fill the tank up for you

My BRZ was in the dealer showroom with 7kms on it. At delivery I sure hope it doesn't have more than 15 on it.

My dealership let me know the status of my car when it was at sea, arrived at port, left port, arrived at "hump yard" (compound) in T.O., and at arrival to their lot. Communication was a little sketchy at times, but I don't blame them...this was during the rail strike last June.

Yup Very true it comes at 7-8KM and then for the PDI they need to joyride/test it for 4KM including getting gas. Usually less then 50-200 metres away.

So you shouldn't get more then 12KM-15KM anything over is just other people testing it out or Joy Rides by employees.

Did it take long once at sea?

Longer than it needed to. It was shown as at sea in early/mid May, but I didn't take delivery until the end of June. The car arrived at port just in time for the rail strike. The strike and delays/backlog that it caused probably added 2-3 weeks to my wait.
