test pipe

I have the ark grip cat back and it sounds amazing, but am contemplating the test pipe to open up some more air flow and enhance the noise. For those of you that have installed one, how did you manage to get around the CEL?

changing the test/front pipe will not throw a CEL.

oh really? i thought that was a cat delete. Tells you how much I know. Sorry for the elementary question. So I can change the test pipe and not have anything to worry about?

it's a secondary cat delete. it does not have a sensor like the primary cat on the header.

yup there's nothing to worry about!

what front pipe are you thinking of getting?

that's awesome!!! well I currently have the ark performance grip cat back and they do have a front test pipe that goes in hand with the exhaust. I was thinking of going that route

BTW its illegal to remove a factory CAT in CA. Be careful as fines are not cheap if your caught. Just an FYI.

that was my other concern. don't want a popo throwing a mirror under my car and being like oh hmm look at that haha

86_ZN6 02-24-2013 01:45 AM

as long as you have a primary cat you're fine

cops look for the primary under the hood and not under the car

thats not true. if you remove any cat you can get fined. that chance is low but its there.
