Oh. That makes more sense to me now. I was confusing when I saw some intake has 2 and some has 3.

Thank you for your advice. And I wait for your to post the links as well.

The first item is if you keep your stock air box. The second item is the replacement for the hose between your air box and the engine. It also removes the noise generator hose as Perrin's doesn't have it. The third item would replace your stock air box and would require the front bumper to be removed. I have the 2nd and 3rd items. Some people that can't afford that much $ are doing either just the first or the first and second items. The best sound and performace when giving it full throttle will be with the second and third items.

And if you go to their store they will sell the 2nd and 3rd items for $400 instead of $463 that their website says.

Hi, Stocksnail. I want to know if the second item (inlet hose), does it has 2 output or 3 output. the picture only shows one side of it, I couldn't see the back of it.

If it doesn't has the 3rd output, what should I do with the exist hose that connect to my stock intake?

its only a 2 output. the 3rd output would be a snorkel, and there would be a plug for it.

that little black thing on the bottom right corner just caps the other end.

Anyone know the price on labor to get this installed? I wouldn't want to mess with the bumper lol. Thanks in advance!

depends on which one you go with. A lot of them you don't have to take off the bumper. Also a lo of them just reuse the oem location.

Clint520 02-22-2013 11:31 PM

Ohh ok. So which one saves me from removing the bumper?

The ones that don't go into the front bumper aren't really cold air intakes (for the most part), they are warm air intakes as they will suck some warm air in from the engine compartment. Not really a big deal unless you're racing your car on the track.

I have the injen. I'm completely happy with it. 13hp upgrade, who wouldn't be? And a monkeys uncle can install it.

Tuned or untuned?

Mine is untuned and I did notice a difference the first time I took it out. Still do. When I was in the higher RPM's with the stock intake/generator I felt the motor was struggling. Especially considering the noise it was making. Now....well now it's just fun to get it up there. The power and the "True sound" go hand in hand.

You should also buy the Perrin crank pulley too. Revs are quicker.

Untuned. Though I am thinking of tuning it now that I talked with a couple of other people who have.
