Questions about intake.

Hi, I am a total newbie to car. What is a good intake kit for FRS/BRZ. I am looking for the price range $100-$200.

What intake you had install in your car? How difference is it before and after the installation?

Zeta performance intake tube and a drop in filter ( whichever you'd prefer )

I personally have the injen. I like it. The car sounds more lively as well. But Injen was one of the early developers. I have heard good things about the perrin cai. I personally felt like I should have waited for that. But again I'm compleatly happy with the injen intake.

I have the Perrin CAI intake and absolutely love it. They spent many hours and prototypes on a dyno to make it the best possible.

I have the Perrin hose and intake system. They are in Hillsboro and give a discount if you pick it up at their store. The sounds the best in my opinion and from what I've read, it's one of the best for making more power so far. Go to the perrinperformance.com website to look at it. If you want to go a cheaper route either stick with your stock intake as it's pretty good, or just buy a perrin foam filter that goes into your stock intake box.

for that budget, a drop in filter and a inlet hose will be your option. The Perrin CAI/Hose will set you back about $400. If you install is your self or buy beer for Derrin

Paid 280+- for the Injen and have been completely satisfied. Plus no more fake noise into the cabin.

Why some intake has 2 output and some has 3? I saw my FRS stock intake has 3 output, how do I configure if I bought a intake only has 2. I don't understand.

I'm planning to order one of these next month with black powder coat...

Chen, do you have a link to buy the intake system of yours?

Best bang for your buck would probably be Perrin inlet hose + drop in filter (my setup) or the FA20Club CAI. Both will cost you about 250 bucks.

2 is the most common. The 3rd is just for cabin noise. There's a plug the 2 outputs should be coming with. I would opt out for the 2 output. Cause it cleans up the engine bay. And the 3rd output does nothing.

I don't. But I'll see if I can find it once I get home from work.
