I made a special trip at lunch for some 94 octane, only to have my plan ruined when I pulled up and saw this. :cry:

For those of you just joining us, I will be doing this drive on Sat morning, 8/31. I'm planning on leaving at 10 am so try to show up at 9:45 or earlier if you need to get coffee or have your morning poop. Then you guys from the other parts of the bay can make it if you'd like.

Begin in LG at Peet's Coffee.
Climb into the Santa Cruz mountains the old school way, via Old Santa Cruz hwy.
Drop down into Soquel through the flowy, smooth San Jose, Soquel Rd.
Cruise Hwy 1 to Watsonville and head inland.

Downshift up 152E and make a left towards Uvas reservoir.
Discover what Uvas and McKean is about.
Touge up Hicks Rd to the old Naval radar station and back down the Los Gatos side.
Finish in LG
