Thanks man. My daughter was just recruited to compete so her practices took a spike as well as the duration. We have SoCal trips to book now in the next few months.

Get to AutoX! Is it BFF that's autoXing? He could use a passenger to balance the car. My ride alongs shaved the driver half sec or so...not much but it was funner for me as a spectator to watch the driver go thru the motions (bring ur helmet).

Imma gonna head up Bear Creek Rd from 17 this coming Sat AM. Play on my favorite road La Honda. Get morning refreshments at Alice's. No definitive time to meet and place but I may see myself there at sunrise. I'll be done by 10, family stuff.

Sounds early enough for me to go. If we are done by 10am I can still have time to get ready for my son's first communion. If it takes longer than that. I might have to cut out in the middle of the ride.

Any good roads you guys can recommend in the East Bay? Specifically Lafayette / Orinda / Walnut Creek?

Wildcat Canyon Rd is right by you off of San pablo dam rd. You have to go early in the morning though to avoid all the cyclists, hikers, and families that come out on weekend mornings. It connects with Grizzly Peak and down to Skyline (East Bay side) to Redwood Rd into Castro Valley. We did that route earlier this year with a small group and it was ok, Pinehurst Rd you can also reach by way of Moraga Rd and that is pretty fun too.
Come out and drive with us one of these weekends, we'll show you good roads all over the Bay. :)

That prime area for twisties, just look up a couple posts ;). Redwood rd.+Pinehurst is always fun. You can also try Bear Creek Rd. like what @MyRx mentioned. Why not join the other guys this weekend for a drive?

btw I think the Bear Creek Rd that @MyRx was talking about doing this weekend is down in south bay, between Hwy 9 and Hwy 17. Confusing but I bet either one is fun to drive. ;)

:bonk: oops... either way, the Orinda Bear creek is a nice cruise, you can make a big loop of San Pablo Damn+Bear creek+Alhambra valley roads.
