It's pricey with all the accessories you would need, if you want to do license plate/tow hook/camera mount. I might just use some crazy amount of duct tape to attach the gopro to the front for that down low angle haha.

If you just need to mount a gopro or pov camera without using our racing tow hook. we recently release the camera mount kit that mounts to the factory tow bolt location. There's a kit for the front and one for the rear.

Are those RAM mounts? Those are exactly what I'm using, except I just made a threaded I-bolt mount to the tow hook instead. Wished I knew about this before I went through all the trouble, lol

yeah, if I hadn't already bought a front license plate mount I'd probably have gone with yours for the modularity. However, do you really need separate parts for front and rear? Ideally I'd just buy one part that would work with either...

If you are buying it just for use as a camera mount then get the rear kit which will also fit the front. The rear tow bolt is longer than the front so if you one day decide to mount our license plate relocation or tow hook, it will stick farther than most people would like. But for a camera mount its perfectly fine.

I like the modular too, in need of placing the front plate, transforms to camera mount too. I hope it's an Autobot haha j/k.

You wouldn't happen to have a bolt for an 09 135 BMW? Pick up that bolt too if you got it.

We are currently machining the bolts for the bmw e36, e46, e90/e92, the bolt for the e90/e92 should be the same as your 135. Once we get the tow bolts back from plating we will confirm fitment on the 135 as well.

Thank you. Will keep an eye out for the 135 bolt.

Is it too early to already be thinking about the next weekend's DRIVE? :D

By the way to come back to a previous idea, the new tunnel that replaces Devil's Slide on Hwy 1 will open next week. So I think that means this weekend is the last opportunity to drive the Devil's Slide. Just an idea...

http://www.mercurynews.com/traffic/c...y-1-open-march

then after the tunnels open, we should plan another drive through them.

My schedule looks sketchy this Sat...

BigFatFlip 03-19-2013 12:36 AM

Damn, I could possibly do Saturday, but definitely can't do Sunday, gonna be heading to Seattle for work (and possibly stopping by AVO, depending on Paul's schedule).

Decided to do Patterson pass last night on a whim, really glad we didn't do it in the fog, I forgot how narrow it was. Great road, with lots of elevation changes, but not much to see in the dark, killer view looking down at the Livermore lights though.

Clipdat 03-19-2013 12:48 AM

What about Calaveras Rd? I know nothing about it other than how it looks on the map.

I used to do Calaveras Rd quite a bit in my MR2 when I lived in Fremont... but that road kind of scares me. Although there are some great curves and scenery, the road is really narrow (for 2-way traffic) in some places and there are lots of blind corners. So you can't push the car hard without being considered reckless... There are better roads in the East Bay, like Redwood/Pinehurst, Palomares, Mines.

Clipdat 03-19-2013 01:19 AM

Wow, yeah I just looked on Google maps, that is super narrow! No center lane line?? Jesus.
