The event is this Saturday so just wondering if you'd still like to participate at some level still? You mentioned checking a pile at work? Find anything?

Dust your cameras and driving shoes off! Only two more days until we drive to the beach. Weather at the beach will be in the mid to upper 70s and sunny! Much better than the 90+ that will be in Portland while we are there!

If anyone wants to join there's still room. If anyone had something come up and can't come anymore let me know and I'll update the list. If you want to camp and don't have a campsite, you can double up with me or one of the other guys.

As far as food and drinks go I'm thinking we can just stop at Fred Meyer in Tillamook after visiting the cheese factory. I will be buying some firewood while I'm there as well.

We should have our boat loaded and on off the water very early saturday morning by the looks of things. I will evaluate and try to catch you guys on the drive somewhere. I may just call josh in the morning and see where you guys are all at. Im probably going to spend the night as well. Ive got camping stuff in my car already so as long as shit goes well I should see you guys down the coast line tomorrow.

I probably should see if they have camp spots still open otherwise i may have to throw my tent up at someone elses if theyre full.

Ill find a liquor store and supplies for margaritas along the way.

I'll be following the schedule I put in the first few posts as much as I can, so just check that out to see where we are supposed to be. Glad you're coming.

Sorry you can't come. Leaving in 45mins. It will be fun! :)
People are going to need to double and triple up on prizes since people keep cancelling.

stockysnail 06-29-2013 03:13 PM

At sonic currently. Will be here until noon. Then driving down 26 to the next stop on the list.

I posted some pictures of the event. I had one new person join me on the drive to the beach, who had to leave at that point. Brian @ilpad joined me at the campsite. Two people show up was far from the 10+ or so that originally said they would come so while I was disappointed, I was also surprised that people that reserved campsites didn't show up. I was sad to see the campsites sitting there empty. The people that did come had a great time, especially driving those curvy roads. Nothing like curves on roads and women. ;)

We shall do this again, maybe heading NW to the washington coastline and get some of our northern folk to join as well. Something slightly centralized for us so we can both rally to the coast and drink some beers. Darren has to drink Zima tho.

I'll probably need someone else to plan it as I don't know which roads are good up there. Perhaps @DarrenDriven can use Mike's Hard Lemonade as a Zima substitute? ;)

DarrenDriven 07-01-2013 04:04 AM

I would love to plan something... but seriously, I am maxed out at the moment. I will be planning the September-ish Mega Meet... maybe we can have a campout at that?

And Zima, haha...

idea 1: Get @Touge_ninja to rally the northern troops and help us find a spot in the southern washington coastline area.

idea 2: Have another @PERRIN event and then at like noon have the event go on a drive to the coast followed by camping and beer drinking.

Both ideas with a big discount on Perrin parts to boot! ;)
