Hey guys thank for the support, I think I'm going to apply to The University of Akron. I found out that they have a great engineering program. It's about 7,000 a year. This means my moms insurance can cover the college. And I can get the FR-S! I think I just wanted to go to Dayton because it was private. I'll update you guys if I get accepted.

Over here first year Engineering graduates income could get you 4 Toyota GT86 / Subaru BRZ in the amount of pay you can get with working with one of the major mining companies.

By then a 2015 BRZ / GT86 would be better. Would be a more refined car than what will be offered in 2012.

So no need to worry.

Simple not so simple solution.

Find yourself a sponsor, as in a place that's looking for an intern and eventual employee. Usually places like that will pay for your schooling, you'll just have to get past the first year on your own and show them you're worth your weight in gold.

Then let the FR-S days begin :burnrubber:

Great solution. Good luck with your decision. :w00t:

Srsly? If you're wanting to become an engineer then get the education. The cars will come later.

Why so serious? He can find a more affordable school, so he still can get education. Do you think you can get better education by paying more?

They used to get free edu, then when graduate, if cant find a job, get payed the starting salary for their profession. Then when get married, get equivalent of 70-80k USD to start a house hold
There is more but cbf

Edit
50k when get married, 50% sub on car

Yeah, Once upon a time I'd actually read quite a lot about them. Just wasn't sure the state of things since the corporate world police went and f'ked things up as usual.

Of course the western media won't tell you the about the aftermath of how things are now that the canoe has been launched up shit creek without paddles.

I don't think the quality of education has a direct relation to the cost, but you can't argue that there are schools that have much better engineering programs than others. I don't know the exact quality comparison between the schools that he's looking at, but I think it's ridiculous to let the purchase of a car be a determining factor in that choice. The education is going to last for the rest of his life compared to the car which he may keep for 10-12 years MAX?

Don't sell your education short just so that you can get your dream car. Education is more important. If the two programs are comparable and one is just cheaper, great. But don't compromise your education.

You're right, he shouldn't let buying car factor influences his decision. I still believe degree up to the US standard is good enough. I see people pay more for school because of other factors than better quality of education.

I wouldn't pay more than $3500 for an excellent quality s13. (No rust, interior not falling apart, motor kept in good shape). You can find one for as low as $750 in some parts.

Yeah, but those are 240atlanta prices, s chassis cars seem to all find their way to Georgia, the rest of the country isn't so fortunate.

I agree here. That's why I have a civic hybrid because I was in school and couldn't afford a more fun car to drive and I need a car that's more gas efficient. Now I have a good job and can afford to have a fun car to drive.
