**PHASTEK** HID Headlights, Reverse Lights, Fog Lights (FR-S / BRZ)

So we have a great local stock of HIDs available to us. If you have any questions about HID kits and availability, please direct them to me.

Warranties are based on the manufacturer. I personally run the same ballasts as the H11 kit with the HID retrofit (our H1 bulbs). I also have the reverse kit installed.

HID Reverse Kit

This is great for an FR-S or BRZ. They are 15 watt ballasts and come on pretty quickly. Much more light when having to back up.

Available in 6000k.

90 day warranty.

In the picture below, the license plate has 5 chip LEDs in it.

H11 HID

Available in a variety of color temperatures. The stock halogen reflectors aren't bad at all. The cutoff isn't as sharp as an HID retrofit kit, but in the end of the day you probably won't get high beamed by your fellow drivers. When I was running this kit, I didn't need to adjust the headlight either.

This is a copy of a thread I posted earlier on this kit....

... This was a 15 min mod. I need to find a better mounting solution and seal up the connection to the stock plugs. When I use to do some long range wireless installs on towers, we had a rubberized electrical tape that worked well. Applied normal electrical tape on top of that as well and wrapped it a certain way to seal and encourage water to roll off. Not that I think a lot of water is going to get in this area.

Probably the easiest HID install I've ever done. Only done them for my personal vehicles as well. Eldorado (later changed to E39 lights), MR2 Spyder (bi xenon), and the FJ (later changed to LED).

Since the sun was setting I recorrected the white balance in each picture. Aperture remained the same, but it wasn't manual exposure. I figured it wouldn't be much good with the sun setting anyways. You might see that I accidentally kicked the tripod between the 2nd and 4rd picture :iono:.

I probably should have gone with 4300k for higher light output. The color seems easy on the eyes (it wasn't exactly pitch black when I drove it), but I believe the light output could have been higher with a 4300k kit. Maybe it's not fair since the FJ has 12 forward facing lights (LED headlights, 4x 9" HID, 2x 35 watt lights to the obliques, 2x fog/foul weather driving, and 2x fog/foul weather fogs).

I have more pics, but I'm still working to see what our status will be on the site. This exploration into the FR-S is more my baby at the moment.

BRZ 5202 Fog Light

http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/y...psb3980fc4.jpg

This image shows 5202 HID fog lights and H1 headlights in 6000k.

These HID kits are 15w like the reverse HID. This keeps current draw and temperatures down. We encourage you to wire them up with a relay or into another switch in general. There are an unlimited amount of options for wiring up 12v accessories. In general, we don't like to run HIDs as DRLs.

Thanks guys! If there are other products you are looking for, please don't hesitate to contact me.

For products shipped from Phastek, we'll be sure to throw in some 86 stickers!

Why is that? During the day the HIDs dont blind oncoming drivers. Is there another reason?

I haven't really looked into the voltage numbers with the FRS, but I know some vehicles just cut the voltage below the normal operating voltage of 13.4-13.8 to make the dimmer DRL.

I also know DRL circuits which change the flow of the electricity (my FJ).

Personally don't like ballasts having to ignite so frequently and it prevents people from doing what I like to call... Being a "night rider" (not turning on your headlights since you think your DRLs are them).

Do you offer a Fog light kit?

PhastekSport 03-29-2013 10:00 PM

For the BRZ and if you get the Legacy or Outback for lights.

I personally recommend getting the bezels from Nigel.

So have your kits been tested on a FRS? Anyone replaced the DRL globe with HID?

PM me price of HID kit and LED for DRL pls =)

The kit was run in ours before the Morimoto retrofit. The same ballast is still in use and the bulbs were changed to h1.

I've sold more full retro kits than h11 kits.

Prices are listed on website for these. 5% code is listed in sig.

On larger orders I can do custom quotes.

So for BRZ Fog lights this is plug and play? Also, it won't melt the housing or anything? And do you guys offer 3000k or any sort of yellow?

I should have been more specific..... have the HID fogs been tested?

The bulb clips into the fogs, but at that point you have to decide whether or not you want to splice, solder, heatshrink, etc to get power from the factory harness. I'll try to see if I can get a picture.

Right now we only have 6000k in the office, but I can verify with the warehouse (located in Houston) if lower temps are available.

A 15w kit is what I'm running in our fog lights. The 5202 have been in Camaros. They are just HID kits.

T10/P13w applications are only available in 6000k.

If you're using a plastic casing with plastic lens, I only recommend 15w ballasts. If you're using something a little more heavy duty, you may be able to run 35w. For a fog application, I wouldn't use a 55w ballast.

vault 03-30-2013 09:57 AM

Keen to order.
Final question... the T10/P13W fit without any modification required? Literally plug and play?

vault 03-30-2013 10:06 AM

This is the fog light kit in T10/P13W? (same as reverse?)
http://www.phastekperformance.com/20...everse-hid.htm

It doesnt give the option to have it shipped to Sydney Australia....
