Big O For Alignment?

Big O is listed as a preferred installer for Tirerack.com. Would you guys trust them to do a proper alignment with the whiteline front bolts and whiteline rear camber bushings?

I've done a lot of research on alignments lately and it boils down to hit and miss. If you were to go to 20 different Big O's and got an alignment you'd probably get several different setups.

Depends on tech doing the work.
Depends on equipment being used and its state of calibration.

Your question can't be answered. IMO.

So the BEST bet is to find a performance shop in the area. I'm trying to find out if my local shop Dynosty does alignments.

On a serious note, why isn't there a DIY for adding machine guns to the 86? Seems pretty useful.

As the local speed shop for a recommendation. If they can't do it, they'll point you to a shop with the right equipment and a technician they trust.

I think your best route is to go with recommends. Try and find an Autox group or similar and get their opinions on a good shop.

Got an Appt next Tuesday at The Winning Formula per recommendation by Dusty at Dynosty.

Custom alignments are hit or miss. Especially at a franchise or chain operation. If all you want is an "in the green" alignment, and you really don't care about maximizing the car then take it anywhere.

If that doesn't do it for you then keep reading.

The best bet to figure out if they will play ball is to go in, and look around. Pay attention to behind the counter. You're looking for something in particular, and given the corporate nature of the business it will be small.

What you're looking for is a picture of a race car. Not a big name indy or F1 car or anything of the like, but a home built, race on the weekends, reason for working there race car.

Don't see one? Leave.

Do see one? THAT is the guy you want to talk to. THAT is the guy who understands. THAT is the guy who will discuss set up and what you want out of the car.

Yeah, during the phone call, I realized I was talking to a guy who one of my buddy's met at the local race track. He asked me what I was going to do with the car and told him where I was going to race and thats his home track that he races a spec miata at. I feel good about taking my car there.
