Show me your AU/NZ front license plates/holders

Not as dodgy as it may sound... but i'm trying to get an idea if a NZ or AU front license plate will suit my needs.. I have a UK plate but as it's of few characters I want to shrink my plate and would look best with a new, smaller holder..

I'm told AU and NZ (Jap) have different holders to UK/EU/NA.. so i'm curious to see your pics..

And an education on what size plates you have fitted too would be ideal.. i've seen lots of different sizes online (including slimline 100mm high AU ones)..

So I guess what i'm looking for are pics of plates in holders (OEM) and what size plate is installed..

:thanks:

The stock Aussie ones are massive, hence many ppl have gone with aftermarket stuff, pics in: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27977

These guys can make you custom brackets and covers in whatever size you want. Philip is incredibly helpful. Send him an email, I'm sure he can sort you out.

Standard NSW slimline plates are 372mm x 84mm front, and 372 x 107 rear FWIW.

Thanks for the input so far guys. To remain legal, I need a 363x92mm minimum plate. So basically i'm looking for the smallest OEM front plate holder which meets this requirement.

I can go a few mm smaller which I think the Kiwi / Jap one will do on the width..

Don't want to go aftermarket, but thanks for the suggestions.

@ft_sjo
I have the Lakin Plates and removed my OEM front bracket.
The measurements of the OEM bracket are 330mm x 138mm
The measurement between the plate bolt holes is 210mm
The holes that screw the bracket on to the front bumper are about 30mm in from the edge, 20mm from the top and 40mm from the bottom.

Here's a review of the Lakin Plates that I did and a pic of the AUDM plate bracket too

Thanks for that. So it looks like the plate holder that comes with the AUDM vehicles is designed for the full height 3/4 plates going by the list of sizes I posted above?

AUDM brackets are designed for full size plates, there is just a little overlap of the plate on the bracket.

Ah right, I thought it was a framed bracket going by the photos i'd seen. So the AU plates overlap the brackets by about 20mm each end by the looks of it. Thanks.

Hopefully you guys could help me here. I need a VIN from an AU car and one from a NZ car. This is just for some part matching purposes with my Toyota parts supplier.

If anyone would be so kind as to PM me that'd be great!
