2013 Ohio open track days
 

I wanted to make a thread to start compiling a list of open track days in the ohio area for 2013 as they are announced. I saw someone post one at mid ohio in June and have seen one or two others posted around and wanted to create a place to keep all these dates together. Ill start with the event posted by TwincamRob in the Autox/tracking section.

Cincinnati Region SCCA is putting on a PDX at Mid-Ohio on August 9

The Ohio Valley Region should have a PDX at Mid-Ohio as well, there was talk last year of possibly having two in 2013. The OVR shedule isn't up yet though.

Ill be at Mid Ohio on June 10th Instructing for Auto Interests. Not sure if Ill be bringing the S2k, Miata, or FRS yet. :)

I will be instructing at the cincy region PDX.

Since I'm new around here and have never been to a track day, what does one of these days typically consist of? I'm planning on trying to make it out to at least one of the ones listed above.

For the others, $450 for two days plus banquet the night of the 9th, event t-shirts, raffle prices, etc. Fun event and you could even have aCab as your instructor :)

I wouldn't use the opportunity of having me as an instructor as a selling point :D There are many others that are faster and have way more seat time than I do.

After having such a great time at my first ITR expo event last year, I wouldn't even think about missing it this year.

If anyone is on the fence about this event, just do it. Tons of fun, great, laid back atmoshphere, and an extrememly fun track this year!

So do I know anyone in this thread? My name's Dave Santel, I was the RE of the Cincy Region SCCA for the past three years. Scooter, have we met? I instruct at the PDX's as well. Have a 73 cb500 cafe too.

On top of the PDX, you guys should check out 10/10ths Motorsports as well. Bill puts on awesome track days.

Anyone have anything to add? I cant autox this season because of my work schedule :( so im hoping to get some track days in on the weekdays
