Photoshop Help

Hey guys. I'm looking for someone who could help me photoshop some different color stock rims onto a Whiteout FR-S. I was thinking either white, a gunmetal, a more metallic silver, or a black with a chrome lip (if that's even possible in powder coating). I like the rims, but I just want one color, rather than the alloy and black color. Each color I would like to see how it would look with red calipers. If some people would like to help, you could just post the pictures up in here. Thanks for any help!

Here's a good picture to photoshop the different color rims and calipers onto..

For color references...

So there are a few ideas for colors. And then the calipers red, of course.

It's easy enough if you have Photoshop. I don't have a copy, but here's a quick list of the steps.

1. Select the area you want to recolor (this is the longest step, by far)
2. Create a mask layer from that, make sure it's above the main layer
3. Recolor the mask layer
4. Set the transparency for the layer as appropriate, probably like 20% but I'm not sure off the top of my head

We had to do a ton of this in high school. I recolored a yellow Diablo to green. I never imagined I'd use it again.

Try gimp (http://www.gimp.org/) basically a very robust free version like photoshop. Or if you want web editing try ....http://pixlr.com/editor/, it would work well also.

Does it work on Mac?

Edit: Just saw it does. I'm posting from my ipad so I can't do anything with it for awhile. If anyone could try quickly to throw something together, that would be great.

I don't get the whole "look at my red brakes" thing. I dont get nose rings either. Maybe a nice wet glossy black to go with you lip?

Wow, I didn't even see you did this till today. Thanks man! Is there anyway to take the solid gunmetal color from those rims and put that color on the stock rims, with the red calipers?
