The FRS being used as a NYPD courier car?
Jalopnik: NYPD FRS
Found this quite amusing, parked illegally and probably used as a courier mobile of some sorts for the NYPD. Anyone in the NYPD care to chime in? =P |
Looks like someone wanted to try to park illegally and used fake stickers to do it.

That's what I was thinking!

Or it's like the article said and a personal vehicle of an off duty officer or civilian staffer

I doubt someone would try to impersonate an NYPD authorized personnel just to get away with parking wherever they want. I have to imagine that any parking enforcement officer would confirm these dash tags whenever they see them.

At least it's better than hearing about another wrecked car...

LEO always park their cars illegally since they know they won't get ticketed. I have a friend at the DEA and they have the same deal, a LE permit to park anywhere (though there are some exceptions, but I forget what they are).
In the end, it's better for us citizens though, leaves more legal spots for us. |
<quote> Or! Or maybe it's an undercover car, the NYPD's latest attempt to infiltrate the seedy world of underground drifting in New York. Yeah, that's what it is! </quote>
