2L turbo exiga.

Subaru Exiga 2.0GT STI is going to be featured at TAS with a 2L turbo. This could be a more viable option for the high performance model instead of using the EJ25 engine. Does anybody have info for this engine? I wonder what power it can make

I'd rather the 2.5L. I have an '04 WRX which has an EJ20 in it, and the boost lag is quite noticeable.

The engine should be better since it's tuned by STI and should get a nice power bump compared to the standard EJ20 turbo.

The STI tune has nothing to do with it. The EJ20, regardless of how it's tuned or what turbo it's feeding air too, isn't linear in its boosted power delivery

I see. I thought good tuning is a big component to making power delivery more linear cause adding .5L alone doesn't seem like it would.

You are right, tuning IS a big component. I'm just telling you that the EJ20 is just too anemic down below

Adding a 0.5L of displacement, however, does make a huge difference. Ask anyone who's compared a '02-'05 WRX to a '06 and above model.

Still, it's not like a 2.0L won't still be fun. It just means you have to stomp on the go pedal with each takeoff for a little longer. :D

I drove one of these last week...believe me, it's not impressive at all....but it was comfortable.

No, but the vast majority of cars in my country are JDM. We also drive on the correct (read... left) side of the road.

I call BS. No one drives on the correct side of the road! NOT ONE COUNTRY!

The correct side is.....

<.< >.>

THE MIDDLE!!

If that helps you feel better :P

The .5L is really noticeable IMO. i'd rather take a 2.5 over a 2.0 just for that little bit of extra bottom end.

anyone who complains about lag is either in the wrong gear or the wrong car. ;)
