dealership can't find part number

Apparently, while I slid into a curb, I managed to mess up the ebrake line bracket (along with the entire right rear suspension). It's from the right rear side of the car, and is almost in the wheel well on the underbody.

The dealership service department has been in contact with Toyota and/or their distributor multiple times, and they're unable to find the part number for this bracket. It seems kinda ridiculous that they can't find part numbers, but has anyone else had this kind of experience getting their FR-S repaired?

It's a shot in the dark, but does anyone happen to know the part number for it? If I'm able to tell it to them, I'd end up getting my car back sooner than if they get a chance to bungle up the repair process even further. They've already had issues with ordering the wrong control arm, again due to not having a way to find part numbers for this car, so I have no faith in them finding it any time soon. They also didn't notice the bracket was messed up in the first place, but now that I saw the car and they showed me the location, I'm surprised they didn't see it even with the wheel still on.

My number one rule when playing around - makes sure there are no curbs (or obstacles)!

Good luck though and I hope you getting running again in short time.

Unfortunately, I wasn't even playing around. It was about 6 hours after a light snow stopped, which is usually plenty of time in NJ for the salt trucks to get around in my area (heavy suburbs). I was going to grab something to eat. I took a corner a bit on the sharp side, and hit some black ice along the way, so the back swung out and around for a full 180 into the left curb. The road before and the road I was getting on to both had salt on them, but this one ramp didn't.

I think I can help. PM'd!

That sucks. What type of accident would that fall under for insurance?

Do you happen to have any pictures of the bracket?

I can see if I can find it in our part fiche when I go into work next.

The totally-my-fault kind. It's not under $500, or even $1000 (forgiveness plus deductible), by a long shot.

I don't have a picture of the bracket. I got the spec sheet from theTRDshop though, so I think I'm good on it now. Much appreciated!

if you are going to a toyota dealership for the repairs they might have a hard time because the have to deal with subaru part numbers. try contacting a subaru dealer instead. you might have better luck.

It's a Toyota certified repair center, but they're not Toyota-specific. They work on every make.

Failure to maintain control. Pay deductible, get car fixed...just like any other accident.

I'll work on the pics hah. Most/all of the damage is already repaired, but I can probably get the pre-repair ones from the shop. I can get a pic of the bracket on Monday too.
