Missing CEL ECU event

I got the CEL/TL combo about two weeks ago and after a week, and 50 miles, mysteriously, the TL light turned off and then the CEL light turned off too!

Here's the kicker. I got it checked by a Subaru dealer and they say the onboard computer did not record an event!!!

GHOSTS?!

My probable explanation is I drove it spiritedly in a empty parking lot with about an inch of snow coverage. Obviously, the TL flashed because of lack of traction until I hit the TC OFF button. About 20 minutes later, I got the CEL/TL combo.

I presume the ECU recalibrated thinking I might drive a lot of low-traction surface and after 50 miles of normal driving, it figured out nothing's new and turned off the CEL/TL light.

Just curious if ECU's actually behaved like that ...
