TIC Solid Steering Rack Bushing's Track Review

Got a chance to install and test out the TIC SR Bushings for the FR-S/GT-86/BRZ Platform recently and decided to do a review.

TIC SR Bushings are made to replace the factory soft rubber bushings, which isolate the driver from what the front tires are doing caused by steering play from the natural flex in rubber. Why would Toyota and Subaru put soft bushings on a sports car? The answer is simple, to keep people happy from complaining from NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness). In all honesty after I installed the TIC bushings NVH was minimal, my theory is that the rubber o rings on the TIC bushing might be helping keeping NVH to a minimum while giving the driver maximum feedback.

Installation was was pretty simple and straight forward. Follow the instructions on this awesome DIY Guide:

After 100+ laps around COTA on Feb 1-3 and around 27 laps around Harris Hill Raceway this week I have nothing but good things to say about these bushings. At the track I had more steering feel as well as a more precise response from the front tires. TIC SR bushings’s are a must have specially if you are doing any spirited driving or track events. The oem rubber bushings will wear over time and isolate the driver from the front tires even more, so the more miles on your car the more of a change you will feel when you switch to the TIC bushings.

In conclusion, I applaud TIC for one solid product and look forward to future products. The TIC SR bushing has proven to me to be a solid dependable product that helped reduce steering play and keep the driver connected to the front tires. I will update this thread later on as I get more track time but for now all I can say is bravo TIC.
