HELP! White MT GTS available now....should i take it?
 

My dealer called up and asked if I wanted a white MT GTS (I ordered an orange). I dont mind the white colour, but my main concern is whether this car still has many of the early build issues such as erratic idling, rear deck popping etc etc.??? This is a Dec'12 build.

I need to respond to dealer ASAP! Any advice would be appreciated.

I got an early option on a grey (I had ordered an orange in June). Was a Nov build and I have had no issues (delivered in Dec) and have been very happy. When is your orange scheduled for? I still don't think that my orange order has arrived in Perth yet.

If I pass on this offer, my orange probably won't be here for another 4-5 months.

I would take the white - but that is just me. My 6 month wait was hard enough :-)

If you're happy with the colour, i'd say go for it

December 2012 builds dont have the early build issues mate... I have a November 2012 build and I don't have any of those issues (whereas my June12 build did)

i.e. don't even hesitate and go drive that one home today!

I was in the same boat as you mate. Had an order in since June. Was offered a Silver GTS in November, but after much interpersonal angst (oh it was so shiny...) I decided to hold my guns and wait for my original order. (Orange)

It's on it's way now and hopefully will be delivered early next month. The wait has been painful, but I have been able to save up more in the meantime.

If you're not fussed with colour, go with it!

all of the issues were fixed in october 18th, 2012, youll be fine on that side of things

Get the colour you want not the colour that's available. I knocked back many cars, I didn't care cos I wanted an interesting colour that would stand out in the carpark not get lost in it. :)

I have a December build and i got the service center to check for issues just because and the diagnostic threw up no errors. So far it's perfectly fine, just under 2000kms.

I think the white looks great btw!

man i say take it i have been waiting 6 months on my white MT GT which i ordered in september, they said in march i called up yesterday and now they cant even give me a build date or any dates he reckons april it will be built and shit for may which will be 8 months wait on mine! i recon the guy sold my GT to someone else which is fuckd!!!

Xclnt stuff buddy ! My car is on the Trans Future 5 and is making it's way down to Melb as we speak ! Will arrive Sat am nice & early. She not far away now, since mid July !

I have several parts already waiting to fit lol ! :)
