CEL + TRAC light...

Figured I'd post it here since it happened yesterday...

I'll keep everyone updated in case it has the same issue...

Here's how it began...
Drove the car home from work without issue, stopped on the hill by my mail box and pulled my e-brake and let the car idle while I got my mail (approx 120 seconds), came back to TRAC+CEL on. I figured it was weird, maybe something to do with the hill...
Pulled the car into the garage and pulled the battery cable, put it back on. Drove to the gym 1/2 mile away - and back - no issues.
Drove to meet my gf for a work function of hers about 2 miles away - No issues there. Drove home, got to the same hill and waited for my girlfriend to park her car first (we have a tandem garage where the cars are parked one in front of another inside), and the light comes on. Car drives into the garage fine so I park it and leave it for the morning.

I start it up, lights still there, drive it to Scion of Kirkland (I skipped Bellevue Scion even tho it's closer - as Chris from SOK is awesome to deal with and I would prefer they have my car, not Bellevue) without issues but the TRAC light is going on and off completely sporadically.

I come in and they check the code, it's not for the gas cap (I knew it wouldn't be)... I get a call later after leaving with a rental that its an EVAP code or two and a couple of Fuel codes....

Not good... stay tuned...

Hope it gets fixed. What are your miles and VIN range?

Are they loaning you the rental free? I'm stuck at the dealership now and apparently they don't loan rentals out for warranty work

Just a shot in the dark, but did you just fill up the gas tank?
I'm thinking with a full tank on a hill maybe just possibly some fuel might have gotten into the evap system. I know, pretty sketchy, but I'll throw it out there anyway.

Crap, I just got a CEL + Trac off on a right turn. Driving condition is abit slippery since we got a bit of slush right now.

I ended up being able to get a rental. At first they reflashed my ECU but that didn't fix the problem. They replaced the ECU instead and my car feels better than ever! No weird idle issues either
