North Alabama member checking in

Any other Northern AL members? Ive seen two other FR-S's/BRZ's since theyve launched. I just picked up my FR-S and want to see how strongly the Tennessee Valley is represented.

I'm in central al (Montgomery) and I just picked mine up Monday.

Eurasianman 02-18-2013 12:16 AM

Huntsville right here.

I don't know if the rest of you guys are already aware but you may want to check out Huntsvillecarscene.com. The owner of the site, Samir is a great person and the community there is pretty tight.

There is always something going on during the season and it would be a great avenue for you guys to hook up with other enthusiasts in the North Alabama area. During the monthly car shows near Grill 29 on the first Wednesday of every month, we can set up an "86 area" if you like. I seldom miss an event.

Hope to see you guys there!

So... is there something going on this Wednesday in Providence?

NOBROWS 03-04-2013 08:06 PM

birmingham here

I'm in Huntsville as well. Been keeping my eye open for other FR-S's haven't seen y'all yet.

What dealer did you guys use? Serra definitely did not have me dancing in the streets... actually they made me dance on down to Hoover to avoid the annoyance of that horribad 52 county.

Thank you for the props Scott. :happy0180: Once it gets warm, you'll hardly find a single weekend without something to do 8am to 10pm every Saturday. :confused0068: Keeps me busy keeping the calendar updated and covering events!

There was, but it was unseasonably cold that day compared to the week, so the turnout wasn't that great. :( This next month should be back up to the 100+ that usually come out.

I did get mine at Serra. They actually treated me pretty good. I'm just not a fan of their service department. They made my leaking tail lights worse and I had to take it to Bill Penney who fixed it right! Go figure!

I'll likely be at Jack's Drive-in this Friday if the weather holds. You'll know my car, I'm the only Asphalt with SCCA stickers on the side windows.

You bet Samir! You know I got your back!

Glad to see you posting here but now you know where I have been trolling instead of huntsvillecarscene.com. Hope you don't mind me cheating on you just a little! :happy0180:

I wasn't a fan of Bill Penny's prices either. That and the sales guy I talked to was pretty rude. I got mine for $28k out the door but Serra was willing to give me an extra $2k on my trade-in so I called it a "wash".

They have a white FR-S auto with tint and spoiler and last I checked, they're asking for $32k
