Gauging Interest: group buy on OEM Style BRZ lower diffuser

Disclaimer: This is not a for sale thread. I am gauging interest for a future vendor (who will have a paid membership to this site prior to collecting money).

Gauging interest thread will be closed this Sunday, February 17th, at 9PM eastern. People on the strongly interested list at this time will be guaranteed a diffuser.

The item I would like to gauge interest for is a rear diffuser styled off the OEM Subaru lower diffuser (refer to image below). I know a lot of people have expressed interest in this part but hate the huge price tag that comes with it so that's why I have arranged for a limited run of rear diffusers to be made.

The materials used for this diffuser will be fiberglass for the base model painted in matte black just like the OEM item. A "premium" model will be offered in full carbon fiber. The highest quality resin will be used for the build, better than the low grade stuff we're used to seeing on the more mass produced options available for tuner cars.

Fitment is expected to be spot on, simple bolt on aero part just like the OEM item.

The cost is the best part. The OEM part MSRP's for around $700, best internet price is usually around $600.

If these diffusers are a success, they will be produced again for the following prices AFTER this group buy

Fiberglass: $325 + cost of paint
Carbon Fiber: $450 including clear and finishing

Here's the good part

Group Buy Prices:

Fiberglass:
$260 + Free matte black paint option
Carbon Fiber: $360

Group buy requirements are simple. We need ten orders with 20% deposits. This means $52 for fiberglass and $72 for carbon fiber.

Small stipulation? Not really. But as an added bonus to speed things up, if someone is willing to offer a loaner OEM diffuser (for mounting hole locations etc) of their own they will be compensated or they can choose to get a carbon fiber version for half price ($180!)

Lead time
will be about 4 weeks after the above stipulation is met or 7 weeks after all deposits are in. Whichever comes first.

Contact
me via PM to get on the list. We need not take your deposit at the time but just need confirmation that you will be able to provide your deposit once all ten orders are filled at which time the manufacturer/seller will create a vendor account with FT86club.

Pictured here is not of the item we are gauging interest in, it is of the actual OEM BRZ diffuser that MSRP's for $749.99.

Would need to see a paint-matched picture. Unless I misunderstood and the only option is black.

Paint matching could be an option but it won't look as good as matte black

Yes sir.

Please send me a PM with interest so I can keep track more easily since I'll be less likely to check the thread on most days during the work week.
