OBD2 ELM327 Bluetooth mini

Need some help,
Does anyone know if the ELM327 windows software will run on a windows based unit.
OS: Microsoft WinCE6.0
Would like to get Torque Pro installed onto my unit and run the ELM327 via Bluetooth.

Doubt it, Torque Pro only runs on Android if I'm not mistaken and your radio's bluetooth would not be connected to the CE side of things.

Hi Guys, sorry been silent for a while. i have found an alternative to Torque pro. its called dash command. i have been using both for a while now and dash command gives me more data and an easier user interface than torque pro.
all thats required is registration and your good to go.

Welcome back.

Cool, on which OS does it run? I've ordered 3 devices - Bluetooth, USB and WiFi. That should cover all bases... :D

Afzal can you give us more information on your setup.

lol. ive got the cheapest (200rands) ELM device bluetooth. and it reads perfectly.
works on Android. got it running on my 10.1 tab, and have been toying with the idea of buying a 7" cheapo tab to install semi-permanently in the car.
if someone knows where i can buy a cheap tab please let me know.
(even works on my alfa, which are normally very finicky cars)

What kind of extra hardware do you need to run that? This looks really cool and I want it!

There are alternative software you can use on Windows. Both setup a Bluetooth to Serial connection through buggy drivers.

ScanXL
http://www.scantool.net/software/
or Digimoto
http://www.digimoto.com/Shop/default.aspx

I ditched both for Torque. Same features for $5.

forgive my ignorance but how in the world does the head unit communicate to the car to get all that information?

sav 02-11-2013 09:49 AM

That looks very cool! Do you know if it supports WiFi connection?

Afzal is using a tablet PC to view the data being transmitted via the OBD port
Any day now SAV will figure out how the get torque working on the Android head Units :D

Afzal 02-11-2013 09:59 AM

Thanks.

Yep, bluetooth is pretty much a dead end. WiFi is the answer and this should definitely work with Torque Pro, I'm just waiting for the ELM327 device from eBay.
