Spencer Strayer's Ultramarine FR-S

So I have been following this forum since April of 2011, just waiting... waiting... and waiting some more just to get my hands on an FR-S. Having what I would consider a pair of the best parents anyone could ever ask for they surprised me this weekend by picking me up from college in a "newish" ultramarine FR-S!

They bought the car with only 1800 miles on it and after this weekend I'm up to 2300. Needless to say all I do in my spare time is drive this car. I am truly in love lol!

MY future plans for this are all over the board right now but I think im going to start off with some coilovers, intake, and exhaust. Kind of a general start, but I feel like its a good way to kickstart my project. I have $2,000 saved up and have a job lined up for this summer making $13 an hour so time will be my only hindrance. Let me know what you guys think, or if you have any suggestions of where to put my money first. I'd really like to hear the opinions of people who have already owned this car for a good amount of time. Thanks!

Just ordered some parts to install this weekend. List is as follows:

Cusco Strut Bar
Cusco Engine Brace
Invidia N1 Catback
Stance Coilovers and Control Arms
Clear Sidemarkers
Cusco Battery Fastener
Toyota badges
Blue lugs

Next purchases will be:
Some intake... gonna do more research
Blue metallic matte vinyl wrapping
probably a new head unit
Work Meister rims

Really waiting on some cams to hit the market as well as a dry sump oil system then I will also probably port the cylinder heads

You are very fortunate .

All I can say is, keep the traction control on for a bit, and plan your mods carefully. When I was young I did so many things to my car that ended up hurting performance and reliability because I did not do my research about different parts, how they work together, etc.

*But it looks as though you are planning accordingly based on your comment about the intake...(just keep in mind that intakes aren't going to do much on this car without a tune).

You are very fortunate.
Love ourselves and love our parents.
Btw, good choice of the color.

The minute I read the first post I expected to hear something similar to this: "OMFG WTF I HAD TO WORK FOR 5 YEARS MAKING 10 CENTS AN HOUR TO BUY MY FIRST BIKE AND YOUR PARENTS GOT YOU A CAR WHAT THE HELL" but thankfully that is absent. Great car, isn't it? I've been thinking about starting a "young owners club" here. You have a great list so far dude, good luck with it!

Yeah I really do appreciate the community on this forum for totally not ripping me a new one lol! But yeah this car is honestly like a dream come true considering I've beaten every Initial D arcade since the second stage haha. This is the first car where I will actually be doing all of the labor by myself (with the help of a UTI graduate, best friend of mine). I've always been more of a theoretical enthusiast in the sense where i've done all of my homework/research on the computer and over the years I'd like to think I've learned my fair share of knowledge. Just 'round about that time i got my hands dirty for once:D

That was me up until this year too. The only thing I'm not doing myself on the car is audio, everything else will be my own work :) Enjoy the car dude.

How hard is it install to the FR-S?? I never done one, really want to install it by myself to get some experience. Also, I only have the 2 small jack lift from other 2 cars, will you able to support the FR-S during the installation?
