The new Top Gear

Couldn't help but notice The Stig is listening to the Canadian national anthem in the Toyota 86 on the power lap.

I might have to try reading a book while drifting at some point this summer.

Anyone else have issues with the standard definition rip skipping in places?

Great episode, but annoying to watch with it skipping a couple seconds every few minutes.

I torrented mine from finalgear and it was fine, they even had a 720p up but i don't have that much data. Isohunt also has a good copy up now as well. I like to dl them to re watch later, so i just torrent all the time.

I re-downloaded the same rip (from finalgear both times) and it plays great, not sure why the first download was corrupted in places.

I have no bandwidth cap, so always 720p or greater here. Had no issues. :)

Smaller carriers that buy the big guys' stuff in wholesale = better packages at better prices, typically with better customer service too.

No issue here as well, 720 from finalgear

I liked their review but I always find it funny whenever a review says the styling is bland. Tell that to the rubber-neckers I see every day on the 10 minute drive to work and back. I'm not talking a small glance, more like hanging out the window, stopping walking and staring with head following car, excitedly pointing etc. The car's six months old, but people still seem to find it interesting enough to look at. It's not like mine's the only one in the city or something either, I see them around.

Especially considering the cost of the car. It looks damn good. Sure, if you're comparing it to something that costs $300,000 or more, might not have the same look. :P

But really, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and unless everybody's blowing smoke, everybody who sees my car is in love with it from top to bottom.

I haven't heard too many people say that, other than the Top Gear crew who rarely like Japanese car styling.

Could also be a somewhat UK thing. Personally I find 95% of the little cars they drive in Europe to look identical and as if they were built in the 70's and 80's. I feel the same way about the "new" Fiat 500 they are selling here now - I find it looks like an ancient car.

Except that ancient car sells like hot cakes here in Ontario.
