So I had this friend @Pin Flare that was looking at getting a S2K.. After talks and debates, and having him ride in the car, showing him videos and stuff. He went down to test drive a firestorm and fell in love, now here are the two side by side

So I'm sure he will be on here and introduce himself.. It's just cool to have someone to cruise around for a bit before he leaves to South Carolina next month

How cool is that, I just picked up a firestorm yesterday, so hows Barstow these days? I was up at Irwin 89-96 lived in barstow proper for about 7 month before moving on post... used to fly outta Barstow-Dagget a bunch...

It sucks balls.. It's horrible.. Everything has left, it's all chapter 9 housing, and all the business have left.. If it wasn't for ft Irwin I wouldn't be here

I can't think of a base that's worse than Ft Irwin lol. Ft Polk? Maybe.

I have no idea. Wheels/tires? Borla UEL header with Invidia N1 TT exhaust? Coilovers? Those are my top three big money mods. Small money mods will probably be painting the headlights like Gixxersixxerman. And maybe tinting or red out the tail lights.

I was wondering why anyone would live in Barstow, but forgot about Ft Irwin. Hot as hell in the summer.

Hot is right! I did 102 Rotations out there over 8 years, oddly enough I got to see it snow three times during, once at Christmas, beautiful sight for the time I guess...

Same boat I was in. I was hunting for a long time for a good S2000. After test driving the FR-S when it was touring here in May, I put down for the pre-order. They seem to offer the same sensations. They sit the same way and the response and power delivery is pretty similar for day to day driving. The FR-S is a bonus with the permanent hard top and the 2 bonus rear seats when you need them.
