First time at the drag strip tonight. Ran 5 times total. Very addicting to try to get the perfect launch and solid shifts. Got a few videos I'll post up later. This is my last and best run of the night. I was in the left lane. Ran against an S2K but he unfortunately really messed up right outa the gates. I was looking forward to having a solid race with him even if I lost. Tho I am pleased to have at least made it into the 14s

What engine/power mods on your car if you don't mind me asking?

I rarely got "challenged" in my FR-S. Had the occasional moron want to pace me, or even better try to follow me though entrance/exit ramps or sharp corners, but all in all, pretty rare.

Then I picked up a 2014 Civic Si and started getting these "Come Race Me Bros" much more often. Some other civics, a few pickup trucks, and even one old ass Explorer. o_O

Then back at the end of April, I traded the FR-S and Civic in for a 2015 STI. And now it seems like every week some moron is trying to prove something. It's mainly been pickup trucks and I don't get it, I really don't. It's as though they think the wing is just for show and they want to put the "rice-burner" in its place or something. :iono:

On a side note: been reading through about the bad experiences with WRX/STI drivers and I'd like to apologize for them. Most of the WRX drivers I've encountered have been really cool/chill/respectful individuals. I just don't understand why people like to pick fights with cars outside of their class...

So if I happen to cross paths with any of you out there, expect nothing but respect and a thumbs up from this former eight-six owner.
:burnrubber:

Yeah no prob
Just 2 things

Open flash header
Open flash tablet UEL E85 stage 2 tune

It's no forced induction but it's definitely the most cost effective way to maximize the fa20 in NA form as far as I know. It almost feels like a different engine. It raises the torque, especially in the low and mid part of the RPM so torque is actually flat throughout the entire rpm range. The horsepower raises decently (about an extra 30) so it keeps pulling semi decently in 3rd and 4th for an NA 2.0

Yeah really solid trap speed and ET, especially for being in Colorado. Were those adjusted for altitude? I've heard a lot of good things about the OFT E85 tune. Maybe it's worth the 30 minute drive to my local E85 station... hmm

Last week I was driving to the gym after doing a few warm up laps at a local park. I'm driving down the street when I noticed a black mustang coming up fairly quick. I knew what he wanted because he's the same guy I've seen around town revving his engine at me. -_-

I didn't get a chance to switch tunes, but it's irrelevant.

I turn onto the road to get to the gym. I figured I'd give it the beans and actually test the potential of Cosworth. Mind you this is a 1999-2004 model GT 'stang. Needless to say, I think I caught him off guard. Either he wasn't trying or he's lacking in power because even up the hills he was behind me.

I don't care to street race, but this guy was someone who seriously needed to be **** slapped. I'm glad I could provide to this tool bag. And I'm sure his girl was disappointed in him too. Anyway, enough bragging.

That generation Mustang GT is about as fast as a stock FR-S

I guess. So it makes him a bigger douchebag for trying to show off.

I wish I had this performance in Colorado! This actually took place in St. Louis Missouri. I drove in to visit family and my brother said I should come along with him to the drag strip. I couldn't pass that up ;).

But yeah, noticeably more torque at sea level than at 8000 feet above. Engine even sounds meatier.

We decided to do a few pulls from 10 mph on a two lane highway on-ramp. To his and my surprise we were neck and neck all the way up to 60 (though 1st and 2nd gear). By the end of third gear the front of my car lined up with his rear doors.

Sti-Cobb stage 1 tune

Frs-OFH and stage 2 uel e85 tune.

We even swapped cars and had a few more goes with pretty much the same results. The fa20 did much better than I expected!

Same results. Surprised a stage 1 STI by being just as fast on the stage 2 E85 oft tune.

Few days ago someone are just trying to show off in front of me some dude on a V6 sedan <don't know the car> and trying to pass every car in front of us and just following him. We are on state road 55mph limit and we are all cruising around 60,I know the place and some traps on the area suddenly one trooper on white charger came in at my rear I knew he was not after me as he might be saw him running wild on the road, the cars filed up he was in front of a trailer truck and cruising all in 60 then he suddenly over take it and that moment I knew what the trooper are waiting for, I went to side in a bit and he pass all of us like literally 3 cars plus the trailer then Boom!he caught him on the side. He just show off at the wrong time and place and its not worth the ticket just trying to show you have a bigger balls than the other.I don't know what those driver are trying to do but I know for sure I got his attention :D and by the way that police charger are damn fast!

Hello, I'm grammar. I don't believe we've met.

Camaro honked at me like 8xs, i roll window and replied to everything he said in Spanish. He was trying to race on the hwy. :/ after 3 min of driving with me at 60mph he floored it and left flippingme off.

Time to get a custom license plate that says, 'slow.'

If I didn't have a custom plate already, I would've gotten "200hp"

Had a Celica GT pace beside me while downshifting every couple seconds to, I presume, get my attention or show off. Crackled it's huge fart can. Saw it out of the corner of my eye but didn't turn my head or else acknowledge it's presence.

After about a minute of constantly downshifting and revving, guess the person got pissed off, and floored it cutting me and 4 other cars off in the other lanes. Noticed it had considerable body damage...

That poor car.

Maybe "lento" would be more in order?
