Tonight, Thanksgiving, coming home from work at 2:30am on the highway, and as I'm working through a few other cars on the road, from behind me comes a car, fairly close, I can tell he's in a hurry and I'm in the passing lane trying to get through. After some weaving to get passed those who seem ignorant of passing lane rules, I finally get in the right lane, cruise control at 75 and he passes me then quickly slows back down. A Nissan Altima Coupe. Outloud I'm talking to myself saying "Really, an Altima? What an idiot." as he gets alongside me, falling back a bit then jumping forward. I just leave the cruise where it is and ignore him, I'm not going to race and I know damn well a holiday like this has cops all over the place. He finally gives up and goes ahead of me, then gets off at an exit a mile up the road. For shits and giggles, as he's slowing in the right hand lane, I give him a 6500rpm blowby in the left lane. That's all he's going to get from me.

That's the first person I've had really try and pull a stunt like this. I just thought it was hilarious.

There's sometimes the automatic mustang driver that tries to show off in traffic, they run by you and weave through a couple cars to tailgate a minivan and have to hit their brakes constantly. I'm like yeah your car can go fast but you've got shit control over your vehicle.

Countless civics red lining their 90's shit boxes at me.

Driving back from work in my work van and some cute civic tried to race me. Didn't know I was going 80 in a chevy express...slowed down and he took off. A couple miles ahead I get off at my exit and there he is with a chp writing him a ticket. Just rolled by him and gave him a smile (: #becausericecar

There's a young temp worker at my job who drives a Cobalt SS. He said he wants to get a job at the local Toyota plant so he can get a discount on an FR-S.

Can anyone imagine it the other way around?

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's a fun car. But I'm also sure it's a Chevy Cobalt.

I've only had a couple instances lately where people tried racing me.
One was the other day, brand new Genesis pulled up next to me while we were driving and took off slamming on his breaks to get my attention. Then at every red light we proceeded to continue, I just cruised. My insurance is high enough being 23 male w/ a medical accident on file and driving a brand new car, ain't nobody got money for that

Downtown Baltimore.. sitting at light. All of sudden this Yellow Camaro SS revs the sh!t out of the engine. I look over, some swag black dude looks over his shoulder saying "I got V8, What you got in there" I said "Flat Four".

He was confused. I think only thing he knows about his car is V8.

You should have told him you have a Rolls-Royce Viper.

I would like to add Mazda 3's to the list of cars that seem to want to act like douche bags whenever they see me. Or rather the drivers of Mazda 3's. Not all mind you. It just seems like Civic's, Mustangs, and now Mazda 3 drivers always want to try to "race".

Maybe it's just Minnesota nice, but I've only had one person try to race... Some older Acura, I think it was a TL. May or may not have been going a bit fast on the highway, but it sure was fun. Those of you in the area, it was the new blacktop on 494 before the snow hit... :-D

Ya our stock cars are slow. Almost anything will beat them... :/

Had an Acura RSX Type S (and what seemed to be possibly boosted due to gauges up the A Pillar (although not always the case (some people do it just for the look))) notice me slowly passing him in the slow lane (of three lanes) and he then paced me and rev'd his engine repeatedly. I laughed and shook my head. I doubt he could see me with my tinted windows at 23:00 hrs. Obviously he seemed to want to dance, but, I was resisting the temptation. My wife and I were coming back from a date night in Mississauga. Due to traffic conditions, I was forced to go into the passing lane and again slowly pass him. He then realized I did so and he proceeded to get behind me and give me his brights. I proceeded give him about a half a kilometer between us and moved into the middle lane. Didn't see anything more of him. The rest of the ride home was uneventful.

An earlier model Jetta kept pacing me (sorry dont know my VWs). I gave him a little 2nd gear love into 3rd. Only went up 10 over the 45 mph posted.
