A Cobalt?!? That's one of the biggest pieces of shit known to man. A 6MT might have an improved the cobalt's image but I kinda doubt it since it was clear the Chevy had no intention of taking the sport compact market seriously. Even Jay Leno cannot improve GM's image. That's kind of funny that GM thought the cobalt would tangle with the likes of the GTI the SE-R Spec V and other 6 speed manual front wheel drive cars. I wouldn't have even given those guys a proper response, I would have laughed at them for suggesting a front wheel drive car can drift.

Yeah, for some reason we have a GM club here. Mostly comprised of cavaquiers, sunflowers, and cobalts.

Nearly as bad as the moaning catapillar club (honda)

There is more to life than straight line speed.

I'm sure it is but it's still just a fwd car with a lot of power to compensate for crappy design and archaic 5MT.

I had my girlfriend with me and it was the first time I'd really had my BRZ out on the road, less than 25 miles on it. I was at a light and heard some guy next to me in a stock 95 or so civic telling the other 3 people in his car that he was going to race me. I'm still breaking this car in, so I just ignored the taunts and let him "impress" his friends.

You and I are in the same boat, we're both still in the break in periods so we're more than likely going to see more buffoons on the road trying to race.

I get harassed at lights a lot... took a whopping 20 minutes after driving off the lot before some stupid hick in a lifted turbo-diesel truck tried to get me to drag

So much hypocrisy and douchebaggery in this thread.

Doesn't the forum rules state: "by agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws."
