Fair enough. They ruined a nice car. Seriously. It has a tacky paint job (though that's subjective I guess haha). It's ridiculously low, and that exhaust. :brokenheart: I am curious how quick it is, though.

Could be a trolling sleeper. But from what you described how they drive, probably just some dumb idiot ricer trying to be cool.

I would guess that I'd be the sleeper with my setup. lol But that is very possible.

Some kid at the stoplight near my house yelled at me when we were both at the light. I didn't hear what he said because I had my windows up. Then all I heard was his trucks engine Rev up. So I sthought why the hell not race this guy and lose. I turned off traction and didn't launch my car, but revved to redline in 1st and 2nd and the guy tried to keep up but his truck couldn't keep up. At the next light he pulled behind me and didn't feel like talking. :thumbup: being beat by a stock 86 must have made him sad

i was driving home on am interstste highway and there a lot of traffic. Randomly, a riced out totota corolla with a super loud exhaust pulls next to me and starts refing his engine like wtf.

I was turning south on a service road at a 4-way when a red Cobalt SS decided to tailgate me. We all know, people always expect this car to be a rocket... As he closes in on me, I decided to stay on the service road instead of taking the ramp onto the highway. I knew this guy wanted to have some drag racing fun but I got a better idea.

I continued on the service road and he rocket pass me at 70mph, onto the highway. This stretch of service road is my daily route and its got some good curves, valleys, hills, dips and no entry/exit for the next 1-2 mile. It's empty with very little traffic since they had it closed ahead.

As he enters the highway, I down it and went for it. He dodges traffic and I swings through curves, hills and dips. To his surprise, I was able to catch up and tailgate him instead. He then try to lose me and cut traffic left and right.

I actually had my first encounter the other night on my way home. I live about 10 minutes from work so I don't get a lot of these. Anyways I am sitting at at a stop light less than an 1/8th mile from my apartments behind what appeared to be a slightly modified genesis. I noticed he had some kind of transformers looking symbol where the "h" is supposed to be. Light turns green and mr genesis decides he wants to drive slow, I did not want to drive slow so I change lanes and get into the next lane. He speeds up and matches me. I glance at him and he's looking at me. I look back forward and start to slow down. He slows down and I hear him downshift. I make a right turn into my apartments and he takes off fairly quickly.

Wasn't quite sure what to think. Never had this experience.

Almost every Genesis I encounter that has any type of mods usually pulls that similar type of stuff with me. In my head I'm like dude you're driving a Hyundai, slow your roll and fall back.

I find it interesting the Genesis (sedan) is trying so hard to be a luxury vehicle that they had to ditch the stigma of hyundai and create another badge. I also feel the Genesis coupe seem sort of "poserish" it has no heritage and has come late in the game attempting to copy other vehicles in its class

That's what happens when you're a new player in the game. They're nice cars, but unfortunately the sedan is priced at 43k (At least in Canada) and a lot of people wouldn't consider the Hyundai badge, regardless of how nice the car is.

The Coupe is actually one of the cars on my short list for replacing the FRS with.

Unfortunately I did not give him the Vin "I'm gonna rape you after" look. My look was more of a "what do you want?" Look.

I was late for work so I was driving at about 70-80 MPH on the highway and when I slowed down I saw a crappy Civic I passed like 5-10 minutes ago zoom past me, he was trying really hard, but he never saw the front of my car again, because BRZ can corner at twice his speed, especially on good tires.
I just laugh really hard when someone tries to race me, if it's a car that's much slower I'll just downshift and disappear from their sight, otherwise I don't bother.
