So I recently purchased Enkei RSF5's. I want to use my 20mm spacer on the rear wheels but I wanted to ask first what exactly did you mean by "after market wheels will need to have a hole in the back".

30mm spacers definitely make the rear sit flush. I'm running H&R DRM Spacers in the rear and just ordered Ichiba V2 15mm spacers for the front. I have the car lowered on H&R Super Sport springs. When I measured, 20mm was going to be a little outside of the fender so I decided to go with the 15's. Went with Ichiba V2's in the front because you don't have to replace the stud with the V2's. The H&R 15's required longer studs.

I just did 20mm front and 25mm rear on Eibach Sportlines. Car looks so much better. 30mm in the rear will match the front perfectly. But you really have to look for that. I see the car perfect finally.

I'm running 20mm in the back only. Left the front stock. I had the 20mm front and 25mm back on for about 30 seconds. Poked out just a little too much for me. The 20mm only in the rear is MONEY.

I think a 15mm front 25mm rear is money. And if you want like right at the fender 20mm and 30mm. On my Sportlines the 20mm up front barely poke, the edge of the rim protector on the tire is right at the fender line. |

What would be the ideal setup (no poke) for stock ride height ?
15mm front, 20mm rear ? |

25 on rear doesn't give you much poke, but to me, it looked like I had spacers. I'll post another pic in a bit of just the wheel well. You'll see what I'm talking about |
Also remember your camber will affect the look of the spacer as well!

alright, here's what I have.
This is the 25mm spacer. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h8...ps041edbef.jpg And the 20mm. Slight difference (look at the tread of the tire if you can't tell, the bulge of the tire was just outside the fender). The 20 mm spacers put the tire JUST inside the lip of the fender. It fills out the rear without looking like you're trying to fill it out with a spacer http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h8...ps3faa1797.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h8...psc9ac76fb.jpg |
**Point of clarity - When discussing "flushness" generally (on this board) it refers to being on the same plane with the top of the fender. I think @suaveflooder is talking about being flush with another part of the fender (the side or bottom perhaps), which is totally ok too. Just don't be confused at the varying recommendations due to this variable.
With that being said 20mm front and 25mm rear fits very well. There are probably a dozen examples on the board now with that combination (including my own car (posted earlier)). For perfect flush (with the top of the fender) 20mm front and 30mm rear is flush as an ironing board. Keep in mind thick spacers like these weigh over 1lb each so you will be adding unsprung weight to each corner. |
