May be coming out to Aberdeen soon
 

It appears that I may be coming out to Aberdeen for a few months and I've never been there.
I know I'll have a bunch of questions but any input initially would be greatly appreciated. I'll be in a hotel for a couple weeks until I can find an apartment. Recommendations would be great. Something with a gym is preferred.

My first concern is what should I bring to drive. Either my BRZ or my truck, which is a lifted full size Dodge diesel 4x4. Either one will get shipped out there so that isn't an issue. Parking the truck is usually the only problem. On the other hand, I baby the BRZ and don't want to worry about it. Thoughts?

Looks like there's a lot of great car activity in the area. Would love to check out some East coast shows.

Any other info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Drive the BRZ...the trip is well worth it!

The truck would fit right in around Aberdeen but this winter isn't a bad one so I'd say bring the brz. Either way you cant go wrong. I work in Fallston and my brz is my dd.
As for decent apartments I will ask around and pm you with anything I hear about. What month would you be out this way?

Could be out within a few weeks. Pretty up in the air right now. Just trying to get ahead of the game. Not exactly sure where I'll be working so nearby cities are acceptable too.

Looks more likely that I'll be heading out here within a month.

Research has me looking in the Bel Air area for an apartment. Was also considering White Marsh area and Abingdon. Upside to White Marsh is that I guess there a Subi meet up out there at BWW every week or two. I'll be working at APG, just don't know which site yet.

Anyone here on APG? How's the gym? I'll either be using one there or needing to join something near the apartment. I saw a Gold's Gym in Bel Air, that would be ok I suppose. Have to check it out and see what it's like in person.

I've lived here my whole life. It's fine. Aberdeen is a dump, besides the base and the stadium.
