Dealer installed fog lights?

I was originally planning on ordering my BRZ in a week's time and getting fog lights as a port-installed option. Something came up where I might need the car sooner, however, and I may need to have my dealer do a locate on local dealer lots for my car.

He said that he found a car matching my order, but it doesn't have fog lights. He said that they can be installed at the dealer garage.

Are there fog light controls on the storks of all trim models regardless if fogs are installed? I'm worried that if they just install the fogs at the dealer, there will be a difference in the functionality of them vs. a set properly installed at the port. I don't want to get fogs and find out I don't have the appropriate controls for them.

Also, anything to be weary of in having a dealer exchange with another dealer? Delivery fees, dealers hooning on the way over, etc.? I was hoping to pick up a car with single-digit mileage in a few months time, but plans have obviously changed.

Thanks!

if i was you,i would try to get the dealer to '"score" a car from the port in jersey.dealers can claim cars that are sent over as "extras" have your dealer check stock sitting at port.
if the dealer locates one,he can divert it to the dealership with probably like 4 or 5 miles total on it.i would NOT do a dealer to dealer swap,as you will accumulate some mileage on the car, without knowing how the car was driven, but,of course as the asians say,it's "suuup" to you!

I decided to force my situation into waiting - I'm keeping my appointment to order the car on the 16th. It leaves more money in my savings, prevents dorks from joyriding in my future car, and ensures the fog lights are installed at port - not the dealer. Plus it will make my opticoat installation cheaper - fewer dealer-caused paint issues, since my delivery instructions include "with protective wrap".

Thanks for the encouragement!
