Cal Car Cover in blue

I bought this cover a couple of weeks ago and thought I would share.

California Car Cover model Ultraweave for $225.00.

Fits perfect and the antenna pocket actually makes coveing the car easier because it creates a starting point anchor. It takes 45 seconds to deploy on my BRZ and 45 seconds to remove/roll and store in trunk. About the size of a camping single person bed roll.

I love it and it is UV and rain protectant. Highly recommend for out door parking all day!

Does it protect it from hail?...padding? The one worry is that it might cause some attention at night...:iono:

also what material is on the inside? Does it have somthing to keep from scratching the actual paint of the car?

They have covers specificaly for dent protection that are two or three layer. I bought mine for daytime outdoor UV and dirt protection only, and chose the specific cover accordingly. My cover is a single thick cloth that does not scratch the paint. Check their website for a cover that suits your situation. ( no, I don't work for them )

My car is garaged at night at home, but exposed to sun and alot of dirt from a 10 year oil factory construction zone accross the street from where I work. Looks like it will be going for another 10 years the way it looks :(

My blue Subaru RS faded and peeled in the same parking space over the last ten years and needs paint bad. It's dash board is also drying out and cracking. I'm going to avoid those problems this time by taking 45 seconds of care each day of the work week :) Well worth it considering painting the RS is $4000.

It's not normally the material you need to worry about scratching the car. It's the dirt already on the paint that gets ground into the clearcoat and leaves scratches while the cover is being put on or removed.

Seeing pictures like this make me so glad to have a garage now, even if it's going to be a huge pain in the ass to squeeze a second car in. Before I had a house everything was just left out in the elements. Made me kinda sad.
