Congrats and welcome. Two weeks and you're already pulling your hair out? Lol. I had to wait three months for mine. Glad to hear the wait times have dropped though.
Any plans to mod or looking to keep it stock for a while?

Thanks haha.

I think I'm going to keep it stock at least for 3 years, I am leasing my FRS for 3 years and plan to buy it out when the lease is up. It's not really a mod, but the very first thing I'm going to do to the car is getting my dealer to put the coating package + tint on the car :D and maybe get 18" rims when I have the money.

After 3 years I am gonna slowly start boosting my power, starting with ecu tuning with basic bolt-ons, eventually leading up to a turbo or supercharger.

For now.... I just want it to get delievered so I can drive it lol :bonk::bonk::bonk:

The tint is a no brainer. Makes the car look better. You could also spend $20 on a can of plasti dip and do what I did.

Nice job! that looks pretty sharp man.

But for me I kinda prefer the clean, untouched factory look - at least for now. The only visible exterior mod I am going to get is probably the tint and putting 18" rims I think.

I replaced the rims and my next mod plan is probably going to be inlet tube / deleting the sound tube and then full exhaust and tune. Also planning on getting a new shift knob / shifter bushings. In the long term I'm thinking turbo / super but we'll see how money goes cause that's a fair bit of money to start dropping on the car.

Edit: Also planning on doing tint in the near future. Looks great and keeps the car soooo much cooler. I also got my car opti-coated and changed out the trans / rear diff fluid. That's it for now.

I just did a Perrin rear shift bushing on mine ($30). I like the feel of it more now. Worth the money, and super easy.

Hey guys, kinda new to the forum, been trolling for a bit. The wifey has a BRZ, its been a great car so far. I guess I get to mod it, which should be fun. Will post up some pics as the parts start to roll in over the next week or so

Thanks for the feedback. I was going to do it anyways but it's always nice to reinforce your decision with positive feedback. Sounds like it's easier than it is on the WRX's. That one had some pain in the ass moments but wasn't the worst.

Its not exactly what I was expecting, but this is the first time Ive upgraded a car like this. Either way, I still like the feel difference, almost an easier throw feel, and a more mechanical feel to the engagement.
Ive also added the 2" Perrin antenna, looks a lot better than the stock R/C antenna, but have noticed some receptoin loss. Local stations come in fine, but I like a Detroit station when Im in the chatham area, and Ive seemed to have lost that.

I was wondering about that, anyone have a review on the shark fin style one for reception?

Sounds like what I felt when I did it with my WRX.

What do you do in the Chatham area? My parents live there and I'm there all the time.

Same. Parents live right off the 401 at the first exit. Grew up in Chatham/ Blenheim.

Hi - I'm just about to order either an frs or a brz. Wondering what the local prices have been as of late.. Is knocking more than 500 off the list even an achievable??

You can get like $1400 off a BRZ if you're a member of the IMBA. VIP pricing program. I think the grad rebate on the FR-S is $500. There might be a grad rebate on the BRZ but it doesn't have near the grace period (two years vs four?). In terms of negotiating? I wouldn't hold my breath but I'm not the best at haggling for a car so maybe I'm clueless and you can walk away with a great deal. Don't know until you try.

Edit: By the way you need to be a member of the affiliated association for like 6 months before you qualify for VIP pricing. Totally worth it though. I'll be doing that for my next Subaru.
