It’s in no way, shape, or form a good car for drag racing and most people know that, so it doesn’t surprise me in the slightest you didn’t see any.

They are actually pretty dam good on the strip for what it is in all honesty :iono: 8th gen civics are constantly drag racing & were never intended to either but if it works it works.

86 Twin 1/4 pros

-Rwd
-Launching at 4500-6500 on stock axles and clutch doing just fine.
-Power shifting stock trans (flat foot shifting no letting off) works great.
-Stock differential can handle launches but also do stand still burnouts (Two wheel peel)
-Light weight
-Good Aero

Cons

-Power / trq :bonk: That can be addressed though.

There are far more cons than that.
Just look at the rear suspension alone.

Yea for sure a bit more cons but nothing that can't be figured out or done. The guys that actually do drag race them all have good results in their own right :) IRS isn't new to the drag strip.. lots of supra's, vette's, stang's, & viper guys running numbers. Fwd has jumped leaps and bounds as well and that is the worst of all for layouts for drag racing.

I just have the cradle bushing inserts that alone made a huge difference. Few more extra bushings / braces would further the result. Anyway just the consensus of most saying the twins suck on the strip but they really don't

Road course
Drag Strip
Drifting
Autocross

86 can do it all :burnrubber: CSCS is this weekend at TMP, Club members bring out some twins for either time attack or drag eh

Anything can be modified to be OK (not great but OK) at the strip. Back in the day I used to go up against Pintos, Mavericks and Vegas at St Thomas and nobody in their right mind would say they were pretty good at the strip in their stock form.
