Newbie

Hi,just wanted to properly introduce myself. I first saw a pic of this car in Modified magazine. The more I kept reading, the more I fell in love. I've owned a 2002 Celica,2004 Civic Si EP3,a 2003 S2K,and a 1997 EK hatch.
I'm definitley looking forward to buying the FT86.

Welcome

Welcome on aboard! We're all eagerly anticipating release of this car :)

Thanks;I'm hooked. I've been looking at other cars Subies,Evos,IS 300s,etc. The fact that I could own a Hachi makes it worth the wait. I wonder what Keiichi Tsuchiya thinks of the new 86?

The only way you can own a "hachi" is by going out and buying an AE86.

Annnddd I'd say he's pretty stoked about it:

Finding an AE in my area is like spotting Big Foot. LOL! It's cool that Keiichi digs the car. Thanks for the pic;I can't wait to see BMI videos of the Drift King breaking in the new "hachi."

I still think Tsuchiya more than 'digs' the car. He's probably got some influence on the cars overall end product. If I were Toyota thats what I would do. Hire him as an 'enthusiast relations' person...make sure the car we produce is actually going to hit the bullseye with that target market.

its like Ferrari's relationship with Schumacher, he became a ambassador for Ferrari, well known name with passion for racing :happy0180: I also love how toyota got involve with club4ag members listen to AE86 owners what we like and what we really care about.

roughly translated...
"How far did you tune it?"

btw KiRiMa, you don't need "so" in the "shisomashitaka" part

KiRiMa 01-07-2010 06:39 AM

Axel,I got it out of some book and it's suppose to say "What have you done to your car?"Thanks Ichitaka05,I dabble in Japanese and have much to learn.:)I will edit my sig.
OldSkoolToys,I suspected Tsuchiya had some part to play in the designing of the FT -86 and I'm glad that Toyota listened to club4ag members for additional input.
