Someone near Flossy shop around Sandiego Need help

I will do my best to explain my situation.

At the end of the summer around septembre i bought a custom short redhead flossy knob from the group buy. Right from the Beginning communications with Chad was a pain.

Anyway i got my knob installed the logo was not alligned so i put some teflon on shifter thread. Their wasnt enough teflon so i starded to unscrew the knob nada not even a 1/4 of a turn. The knob was stuck (two stripped threads in the knob) i have been very gentle without any real effort.

It was impossible to get the knob out by hand we ended up cuting the top of the knob with a metal saw to gain acces to the threaded hole to put some wd40.

5 mins later the knob came right off.

Prior to do any cuting i asked Chad for a replacement and he said no problem ship it back take it off anyway you want i will do a new one for you.

So early november i shipped the knob back to Chad. (20$ Cad)

Finally he told me back in december that i should get my replacement anyday from now... Guess what ! No news from him WTH ! What kind of buisness is that... On street view his shop is at home! Anyway numerous email later but nada im tired of all this thats only 150$ i know but come on....

Anyone near Flossy shop can give me some help i dont know what to do anymore...

Thanks ! I feel better now ;)

I feel bad for you bro. I tried to contact them to buy a knob myself and they told me they're moving. Also, my friend ordered some stuff from them awhile back and never got it. Paypal said it's too late, but seeing how tight they are on the FRS/BRZ community, I expected good service.. I hope they reply back soon when they're done with the move.

I'm in a some what similar spot. I submitted the image, which was a .png. Couple of weeks later I get my shifter and notice the image on the grip tape shorty was .70 inches (size of a dime). I sent an email to chad asking why the image was so small and he stated the machine they use can't read .png and he found another .jpeg image and stated that if they made the image larger it distorted too much for their machine. He stated that I could use another image or find one that was larger, so I did. Three emails later and nearly 2 months later, still no response on what is going on.

Yeah I tried emailing them a few times when I ordered mine and no replies. Lucky for me I got my knob with no defects but their customer service isn't the best.

I ordered one a little over two weeks ago. Plain. No custom design.

It still hasn't shipped. I was promised it would be on its way by "Thursday at the latest".

If I don't have a tracking number or shipping confirmation tomorrow, I'm filing a chargeback.

Wow... what effing a-holes....

I bought mine from WC Lathewerks... That guy is so freaking professional. I have a custom engraving and sent him the exact font I wanted. The day he was going to do the engraving, his computer didn't want to accept the one I gave him. He stopped work, found a practically identical font BUT instead of just engraving it, he actually called to let me know what was going on, sent me an email with the font he was going to use to get my OK before changing anything.

THAT right there is the definition of awesome customer service.

I'm not going to throw anyone under the bus, but it seems like from what I have seen on other forums as well their turnaround time is very slow. However, it appears that everyone seemed to get their product in the end, but there was little to no communication and it took quite a while.

In the interest of follow up...

I finally got shipping confirmation from Flossy Friday afternoon, thirteen days after ordering. I expect 3-5 days to come across the country to NJ.

Wow, I feel pretty lucky - I ordered grip tape shorty back in the fall, got the BRZ Logo and shift pattern on it, it came with a lock nut so you can adjust it correctly, and I had it within days after communicating back and forth pretty efficiently. He even provided some advice on how I could fill in the engraving with red acrylic paint to make the pattern/logo pop out.

I guess service has gone downhill since then. Sad to see, since the product itself is pretty nice.

I've sent him about 10 emails over the past 4 months and have had maybe 3 replies >_<

Guess I won't be giving him my money.

So true!!!

Chris is awesome. I just order this knob tonight and we were emailing back and forth tonight, a Saturday evening no less, to get my custom engraving right. Hope to have mine in a week or so and will post pics. Getting this one with a custom engraving -- 526 grams!

Bumping this up. This guys sucks at communication. No tracking, no reply. Filed a paypal claim. This was the very first item I ordered for my new BRZ. I have ordered 5 other items days after the Flossy and got them all fast and easy.

Nice as the knob may be, it makes me not want to put it on my car out of spite. Should have done my research.
