Crickets Gone Or Returned After Pump Replacement?

Very interested in seeing a poll of people who had their fuel pumps replaced under warranty. Included will be options for pumps that have been replaced more than one time by the dealer. Lets see just how successful this TSB is in removing the problem.

Please poll if you have at least 300 miles on your new fuel pump.

Yep had mine replaced and no crickets yet....but its only been like 150 miles so far...

Hmm, should probably include a mileage subcategory before polling. Good to hear yours are gone though in 150 miles. Keep us updated!

500 miles and no crickets, but the weather is still cool so will wait for judgement until this summer.

had mine replaced around 5500 miles, was cricket free for the couple months, but now at 8500 miles, the crickets returned this past week

The last few days I hadn't noticed the cricket sound (Haven't had the pump replaced) and the car just has the typical direct injection mechanical clacking sound. Just over 16,000 miles on the car.

Replaced my fuel pump last month with 1000+ miles on the new fuel pump. No cricket sound yet.

I got crickets after replacing drop in filter around 7800 miles

Is the noise an actual mechanical problem or is it just an audible annoyance? I can barely hear mine. 1500 miles

It's a harmonizing sound the pump makes when the car heats up fully. Notice when you press on the gas slightly they go away till it hits a low idle rpm then you hear it.

I have put off replacing my HFFP for a bit to see how other drivers are doing with the new pumps to see if they are truly resolving it, or just throwing the same part at the car over and over till the crickets don't return.
