for those who are buying the BRZs, what made you pick BRZ over Scion FRS?

like the title says, what are your reasons choosing BRZ?

Sinister front look.

Rear end looks better to me.

Interior doesn't look to shabby.

Can haggle price or use subaru VIP program.

Satin White Pearl

Grip

Digital HVAC

Black Tach

The biggest reason is that after having Toyota destroy a previous car through incompetent mechanics and then 3 years of jerking me around while they pointed fingers at different departments at who should be the one to pic up the tab... I have a moral objection to sending Toyota my money, regardless of how appealing the car is.

Plus:

-Higher Price = Fewer teenagers driving it, probably lower insurance rates
-More grip oriented than the FR-S
-Looks better (subjective, but for me, the only perspective that matters is mine)
-Probably going to end up as more of a DD than a track car, so the added options are welcome rather than irritating weight
-That satin white is the only white I've seen that might really compete with the Whitewater Pearl of my RX-8

Equipment and interior. I understand that Scion, when it offers these upgrades, charges more than I'd get with the Subaru.

With the car being mostly mechanically subaru, id prefer to stick with the core company involved with the manufacturing of the car. While i loveToyota and is a big Toyota fan over Subaru. I just had to go with this car for these reasons.

- Seems like a more mature car over Scion model
- Fogs and LEDs
- Digital HVAC
- Black Tachometer
- Subaru VIP program
- I typically favor STI parts prices over TRD parts prices
- Satin White Pearl

I'm leaning to Subaru right now because the rumors (read: speculation) suggests that Subaru will have a bit more bang for you buck in regards to overall package. I also like that the suspension is tuned more for grip rather than sliding around.

But, I'm just gonna wait til pricing before I make any decisions/deposits.

1- because here no scion (well we still have the GT86 in middle east)
2- teenagers will drive the toyota here (see youtube for kids doing hajwala in toyota camry? its there #1 car manufactuer!) so basicly this car will be thier new trend :(
3- front end/bumper, looks more like a grown up car
4- more grip
5- I like the new satin white color
6- I enjoy subaru since 2003 (this gonna be my 3rd subaru)

-Looking for a DD not a track car so I don't need it stripped down
-Overall I like the looks better which is obviously subjective
-Figure it will be a bit more exclusive than Scion
-Different crowd (lower insurance *crosses fingers*) with higher price point
-HID and LED in the headlights =
-Overall I like the interior better (A/C, leather/alcantra, push button start)
-WRC Blue

Not having to tell people I drive a Scion.

Almost forgot about that! This might sway me to Subaru despite pricing! I love WRC Blue!

My main reasons:
- Better looking (subjective).
- Badge stigma with Scion (subjective).
- Hopefully lower insurance than the Scion.
- Subaru did the lion's share of the engineering, and I'd like to reflect that in my purchase.

tranzformer 12-11-2011 01:54 AM

I pick BRZ because of this :)
