On a whim, I decided to check out an auction site that my shop uses and looked up BRZ and FR-S....

I hope the owners of theses cars are okay, but daaaaamnnnn.

mine is in the shop with front-end damage right now. Luckily it's nothing near as bad as any of those pics, but it still made me cringe when I saw it!

THe burnt out one was a guy driving home after a fuel pump swap at the dealer. Think there is any chance the reattached the fuel line incorrectly?

I know right! I posted the worst ones. One had front end, but both airbags blew... totaled. If it went for a good price, I'd love to grab it for parts, lol....

I think all of those cars already have threads on here.

It's hard to say for sure but that looks like it's a different one. More of the steering column left on this one and that's an unbelievable amount of rust for just one week.

Do we have a second BRZ fire?

..they probably poured something called water over all that car after it was burning

By the looks of things, none of them were "ok" after . Good lord.

Man, I'd love to have the white one. Wonder how much it would sell for whole. I'm going to hug my car when I get home.

Any one notice they are all FRS'? Minus the one that caught fire, we know (if its the same) its a BRZ.

DNAPoPo 02-04-2013 08:48 PM

I can totally fix those, I got a great set of tools!

wbradley 02-04-2013 09:03 PM

Don't worry everybody, it will buff out perfect!

Ha ha, very funny.

Seriously though, look at the VIN pic. Some of that rust certainly looks like more than just surface rust, that takes more than a week to set in.
