ATI Performance Products Super Damper

Dynosty is working with ATI to bring a damper to market for those looking to really push their motors. It can be quite costly to have a one off made (we are doing one either way) but if anyone is interested in a damper for their engine, feel free to post up or send me a private message and we can work up a group buy rate!

The patented ATI Super Damper is the only damper designed exclusively for high performance engines.

Since this isn't an ATI Supercharger, it is probably in the wrong forum, haha. It is nice to see that an SFI rated damper is in the works though.

no, unless the mods feel differently, the guys who will most likely be willing to spend the money on protecting their engine with a damper such as this, will be found in the forced induction section

The Slow One 02-04-2013 06:05 PM

I was waiting for this. :)

F1point4 02-04-2013 10:25 PM

I am interested to hear more about the pricing.

I'd expect this would cost around 400 bucks. Probably worth it if you are building the motor.

I am interested in more information. Please keep us posted!

Well it isn't necessary for F/I and it isn't an F/I kit (obviously) However the people most likely to be interested in such a product probably are F/I or are planning on it. So I'd think it's fine.

If you guys want to take a shit on the naturally aspirated people and only sell it to the forced induction guys that is fine with me. Sounds like a solid business plan.

Hey King Tut, no one stated anything negative about NA guys, we simply stated that it is most likely going to be FI guys that are interested. I am sorry you took that as an attack on NA guys, but that is not our intent. We would be happy to sell this damper to anyone that is looking to protect their investments into their motors.

As far as pricing, I want to be clear this is not a for sale thread but more of a gauging interest thread for a group buy. Mods- if we need to reword things below let me know, as I would prefer this to stay in the FI section.

If you are interested in the race damper that will be setup to rev to 9000rpm and if purchasing 10 we can bring price down to $699, if only 5 people are interested price is going to be $775, one off dampers are $850.

We can get a street damper that will be setup off stock redline that will be $750 for one off, 5+ will be $550, and 10+ will be $475.

I'd be interested, but certainly not for 700$.

King Tut 02-05-2013 12:59 PM

I am interested as well, but I don't know that $150 off is enough incentive to buy one now as part of a group buy. I need to get my turbo kit dyno tuned first.

Dustin@Dynosty 02-05-2013 01:11 PM

if ATI sees the demand for the product they will eventually make one as a shelf item and then price should again drop, but until that point, this will be the only way to get a damper for any cheaper than one off pricing

Ravenlokk 02-05-2013 01:32 PM

In time i'd imagine it will be a reg. stock item. It should be a large enough market- I had one of these for my R32 GT-R back in the day, and it was a much more niche market then the FRS/BRZ.
