Exhaust? HELP!!!!
So im looking into a exhaust for my frs. I want something loud, but at the same time something that sounds nice. Im looking into the Greddy evo3. Any suggestions or comments on that? Also (this may sound dumb), when the exhaust silencers are removable, what does that mean and what is the result from them being removed? Any advice would help!

evo 3 drones a lot. not good if you drive for a long period of time
if you want something loud but still sounds nice, check out the WORKS AB delete it's very light, sounds good, and cheap! ---> http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24472 |
There's a lot of good stuff out there and really there's no right or wrong answer as the phrase "its too loud" is going to vary person to person. However, basically everything will be about 10db louder than stock at least.
I'd start listening to youtube videos and specifically look for videos with in cabin cruising at 55-65mph as well as fly-bys at WOT |
What does "drone" mean? Sorry Im new to all this.

as for installation, you can install the AB yourself with just basic tools. if you're not comfortable with it, then have a local muffler or performance shop in your area do the install. it should take around 30 mins for the install seems like you're from LA, there's a bunch of shops that can do the install for you make sure to add the mid pipe to have a catback system |

The exhaust was initially loud, but after a few hundred miles it became quieter. |
If you want loud and sexy, SRT. I have it. It's definitely loud, but sounds really, really nice.

I'll post mine later, but I will say I'm amazed how quiet the AP combo pipe is with the Q300 cat-back. My g/f and I both thought that from inside the car that is basically sounded stock under anything besides WOT. Outside the car it has some tone, but nothing obnoxious or even very attention getting. I love it. Should go great with the AVO kit later. |
