Good article, but the 6 speed isn't the selling point of this car...

sevi21 02-03-2013 09:41 PM

Very good article. Most ive read in a while haha! Thanks for the post man.

Honestly, I thought it was a trash article. I think point seven was the only point that really needed to be made. Other than that it pretty much sounded like "shut up and buy this car, because you're stupid otherwise". Additionally, there was too much RICE, for my taste.

So its Mostly telling the haters to shut up.

I don't see the point of it. I mean, if you've got haters you've got to be doing something right.

Subary dealership in Queens wouldnt let me test drive a BRZ without a deposit. Went to Toyota and the saleman was like "What? You've got to drive this car."

jarviz 02-04-2013 09:45 AM

that lfa body kit looks horrendous.. they need to make a kit that replicates the FRS concept's body haha.

campy 02-04-2013 12:02 PM

There are people who think it's "overpriced" and "common"?

Rayme 02-04-2013 12:26 PM

This article is "dead on" on what most people say about this car.

About the overpriced statement, I still can't believe this car sells for 25 000$ here (Canada). A WRX is 32 500, a civic SI is the same price, a Genesis coupe base is a few thousands more, a GTI is WAY more pricy, a mazdaspeed 3 is 30 000$. The mustang is around 24 000 but who wants a bare base mustang?

It's the fucking cheapest of it's competitors...and has a LSD standard ;)

Sport-Tech 02-04-2013 01:15 PM

^Agreed. Makes cross-shopping a much easier decision here than in the US.

In today's dollars my 1st-gen Tib with sport pack cost $22.5 Canadian, and that is with about 2k on the hood as I bought it very late in the model year (December). That's a 140 hp FWD car that is only a few grand less than a 200 hp RWD FR-S- and then add in the FR-S's more sophisticated suspension, safety equipment, electronic nannies, etc. And the Tib was cheap, the Integra GS equivalent would have cost me about $28K in today's dollars.

That was quite the ranty article.

scottsampaio.com 02-04-2013 04:49 PM

Came off like he is pissed off, but once you get to the actual reasons he recommends the car they are valid and good reasons to appreciate the car for what it is. The best recommendation is to drive the damn thing!
