Hit a curb
This evening I was parking and I thought I had enough room before hitting the curb, I was wrong. Now there's a HUGE noticeable scratch on my front bumper. I'm going to try to buff it out and hopes it looks better. But I feel like I should paint over it. Any suggestions as to what touch up paint I should purchase? I'm very indecisive.
Ill be posting pics of the damage and buffing tomorrow. |

If it's toward the bottom then a shop can maybe spot paint that area as long as it is within the lines (so it doesn't have to blend in with other parts or area) and they'll just buff it out to match.
Most shops don't like to take on jobs like that but legitimate ones would. Hell, they did it for me when I got them to repair and paint my rear bumper. FREE :) |
i bought a 12oz can of touch up paint off amazon just in case i ever need it. I used it on a small rock chip i noticed all the way down on the front of my bumper yesterday and it looks damn near perfect. Just be sure to cover up the surrounding area and give it a quick spray away from the car to make sure it's spraying out good. If the gash is big enough you may want to sand it as shown in the previous post
