Hope for BeSpoke.....?
Stumbled upon this today on the Pioneer USA site. Sounds promising, but there is a firmware update required also and I don't think FR-S will get it.
I have been tethering my iPhone 5 to my old iPhone 4 to try and get my moneys worth out of it to lessen the pain. :mad0259: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...les/CD-IV202AV |
Unless I can link up Maps to the screen I wouldn't buy it
|
TBH with the lack of support for the Bespoke app, I have doubts we will get anything. I could of sworn people were saying it will be android ready very soon. That was about a half year ago now.
|
i wouldn't be surprised if the 2014's don't even have the bespoke option and go back to the full on nav option like scion used to have. Or maybe some form of the toyota entune system. bespoke is just way too limited as it is now and probably won't get much attention, if any
|
Other than not having a compatible app for my android, my bespoke is good enough for me. Sounds great and the giant screen with no information to display turns off.
|
They just need to uprgade the bespoke app. or at least let us use our maps from our I phones for GPS purposes.
I have had nothing but horrible experience with Bespoke. It has been a waste of money completly to me. Has anyone had a "good" experience with it? |

Everything besides the actual app works great. Overpriced, but great.

I feel very ambivalent about my BeSpoke headunit. To be honest, I strictly didn't want it when I bought the car; however, due to my impatience, I bought the same car I test drove (which was equipped with BeSpoke, of course). The music navigation, phone interface, and everything is well done, it's just the damn BeSpoke part of the unit that is absolutely miserable. I actually think it would be superior if it just doubled as a giant iPhone display. That way I could run Google Maps and be happy with the navigation.
My other complaint is that when I do put the nav on my iPhone on, and I have music playing, the directions are inaudible. Additionally if I touch the volume knob, music starts playing again, so I must pause/stop it. If the car I test drove didn't have the unit, I never would have went for it, but it does have its perks. |
mine came with the bespoke as every car on the lot at the time of purchase had this head unit in it, which i didnt want esp cause i dont have a iphone =( i love the idea of having the big screen but hate it when i touch source and i see pandora and the such there but i cant use it =( i love the bluetooth tho for streaming audio wirelessly from my phone and calls are clear but i cant take advantage of the head unit itself and what its capable of. i hope scion addresses this!!!!

I would love to have a BeSpoke unit. Not that I'm not happy with the OEM unit, it's great, but it's not the nav system and I won't buy a third-party one.

Want one grey? Do you have the stock unit?
